>>2711831>The distinction is that not every egg shed or sperm cell spilled is "viable" as a pregnancy. That's a distinction of degree. If your concern was minimizing the number of potential humans being unborn, the conclusion would be to have every woman impregnated as frequently as possible from puberty.
Obviously people would say that's not permissible because it's depraved and an affront to liberty, which is exactly what pro-abortion advocates would say about forcing a woman to carry a baby to term in any case.
>you wouldn't care if I club an infant to death.I would care, but not very much out of compassion for the baby as much as revulsion for you.
Sometimes babies die of SIDS. usually when it happens, people think it's unfortunate, but they don't think of it as some sort of harrowing tragedy, as they would if say an 8 year old suddenly died. That's because people don't actually care that much about babies, because they honestly aren't real people.
Anti-abortion advocacy as much as it might posture as being concerned with the "victims" is really more concerned with the perpetrators. It's not motivated by sorrow over the loss, but hatred of "evil" people. That's a typical conservative impulse incidentally, "criminal hating" as opposed to "victim loving".
