You journey to the city of Ghilis, capital of your small country of Homland. There, you hope to find information on Riaga, the Bastard King of bandits.

One month ago, he raided your village, killing all but you and your younger brother who was terribly wounded. Having no medical knowledge, you watched your brother slowly perish over a period of days.

Now, seeking to avenge your village, you hope to find Raiga and bring him to justice.

You have just begun your journey, and you travel on foot with what little was left to you after the attack:

Your trusty hooded cloak, complete with pockets large enough to hold the six gold pieces remaining to you.

A leather belt, complete with a hunting knife and sheath.

You sit now at the bar of the Giant's Hill Inn, contemplating your revenge and planning your next few days of travel. You know the city lies directly west, and so each day you travel away from the rising sun and towards the sunset.

Alas, you fear you shouldn't leave this town so ill prepared, and maybe you can learn something if you poke around.

Some of the other inn-stayers have been eyeing you since you entered, possibly weary due to the bandit activity. Maybe you could talk to one of them...

“Copy,” she replies breathlessly as a salvo of light shells rains into the water behind her - not too close, but not comfortably distant, either. “What am I doing when I get there?”

“Smoke,” you instruct. “Drop trou and ride dirty, honey.”

“Are you a bad influence on Harder or is he a b-” she's cut short by another cascade of light shells hitting the water ahead and to the right, gouts of sand and seaweed flying high as they strike the shallow bottom near the island's shore. “Aaaand that was a bracket,” she says quietly.

“Launching,” Kitakami's flat voice intones.

“It's not the Admiral's place to micromanage each ship!” Kitakami snaps back. Her go-pro feed jiggles a bit as she heels into a hard turn, waiting till she's leveled out a bit before swinging out her tubes and unleashing a hellacious broadside. Long Lances leap through the air like uncoiling snakes, arcing into the dark fog-shrouded water four at a time, till ten sets are away, screaming south in a wide spread.

the setting is post apocalyptic, but i'm a falloutboo so the world is not that terrible, las vegas is still a thing and it's run by various mafia families, casinos are still visited by residents and visitors.

You awake with a sharp pain in your back. Sleeping in an alleyway is hardly ideal, but what can you do at a time like this? You examine the rest of the crew. Annie is still sleeping, with her face buried into her knees. Romero leaning on the wall beside you, eyes wide open, revolver in his one good hand. Brian's still out, and Sara... well, she hasn't even budged from her guard position. She remained fixed there, the whole night... girl's like a machine.

Slowly, you bring yourself to your feet and dust yourself. Sara acknowledges your consciousness with a quick nod. She's a soldier, waiting on orders. Right now, the choice yours. What's your first plan of action for the day?

A) We used up some of our medical supplies fixing Romero and Brian. Maybe we should look for more?

B) We're pretty much guaranteed to come across other beasts like that Rhinocerous, and we're going to need bigger weapons if that's the case.

C) We need food, before we become food.

D) We could patrol the streets for any other possible survivors. It's a lost cause, but we should try to help anyone we can, right?

So, as the last thread reached it's limit, our hero Charlie Carpenter and his group were attacked by a zombified Rhino, which completely destroyed and overturned the group's mode of transport. With the rhino temporarily blinded and distracted, you are given the opportunity to escape the wreckage of the vehicle, but not without checking on the injured members of the group.

You inspect the condition of Romero's arm, and it's completely shattered. Somehow, the man isn't screaming in pain. Takes a lot to faze him, apparently. Sara leans over and places her fingers on Brian's neck. She nods with a smile to let you know that he still has a pulse, but he's still out cold. As for Annie, she raises her hand and gives a thumbs up, though she can't appreciate being sandwiched between your weight and Romero, and lying inches away from broker glass. You begin to silently crawl from the wreckage of the car, when Sara gives you a look, wondering what to do with Brian.

Last night rivals more miserable nights you've had since becoming Greta's servant. The evil maid, Clair, woke you up when she sauntered in an hour past midnight. Your sleep ended when the castle came under attack and stormed your room. Thankfully, you've taken to hiding a lever-action beneath Greta's bed just in case, and easily mopped up.

A lever-action which Clair took away when she realized you had it. You liked that one, too.

You narrowly escaped once again minutes ago. A group of masked men made a rush straight for you in the training grounds. The replacement carbine you found unfortunately had a single shot less than you expected; allowing one of them to grab you by the arm!
You could have totally took them. It was just a fluke.

After that-
"Kayda, please, it's fine." Tuile runs her hand through your long hair.

"It really isn't!" You snap back at her. She squeezes tighter around your shoulders, and your eyes meet her sleeves.

After that attack, you felt a moment of weakness and broke down in tears. Jack carried you back to the armory.

You just feel so tiny, and powerless. Like you could be crushed in an instant.

Tuile seems uncomfortable to be here. Or maybe you're just wasting her time?

It's not a game per-say, but it is filled with Non-player characters as people would dub them and then there's people like you; the test subjects. Although all of this is very overwhelming, in here your mind is much more clearer and you can think for once without going into unimportant details.

Cars of different kinds are passing by and the walkway is filled with 'humans' going in separate directions. You've been placed in this location for a reason. Think, remember what they told you. Locate the subject before the Scenario begins. That's right. There's another person just like you in here, except for a tiny difference: They don't know you're another test subject and that's how it must remain for the scenario to complete. You'd like to say you were forced into this next step of the program, but ever since the 'Walker-incident' caused a major influx of unwanted attention, the Company has been more cautious and strict.

What a wonderful morning, I smile happily as I lean forward to take a sip of my coffee. Not too cold or too hot, just the perfect inbetween, a nice toasty warm. I sigh and lift my grandpa's hat up by the bite hole in the lip of it.

Well this is fixing to be a fantastic day already, the sun is up and burning bright, I got a cup of coffee to keep me from falling into the horrible dark place called sleep. Real nice day, Didn't even get any nasty looks when I was walking over here, then again most of the folks I walked past flinched and all, so I don't think they're really adjusted to me yet, but I think I made a bit of progress.

I lean back, looking out at Lolly town, watching the oh so colorful windmills spin round and round. Wonderful little place, the grass is so green and lively looking here, not anything like old Tumbling weed..but it lacks a certain charm of home, I mean there's plenty of room to run and just watch the clouds float on by but...I don't know, it's just missing something.

I frown and take another sip of coffee, well no need in depressing myself on such a nice day like this. I mean I can't be sad and down on my first real assignment on an actual government ship.

A big old grin creeps over my face as I kick my legs back and forth excitedly, looking at my dusky reflection in my cup of coffee.

Wouldn't grampa be proud, it's actually making me nervous. I mean, I never learned how to swim even before I ate the Akumu Akumu no mi.

I sigh and take another sip of coffee...Think I still got some time before I have to report to the ship.

What do I do?

The Architect leads you through dim, dark hallways, completely silent save for the hissing and thunking servos in your ATLAS. Green light-strips flick on as you walk, leading you through door after door. The base is expansive, and in a slight state of disrepair. More than once, The architect gives you a "PLEASE WAIT..." and leads you through a detour or cramped maintenance tunnel in order to bypass collapsed sections of the laboratory. Finally, after what seems like an hour, you enter a large room, filled with heavy machinery.
"WARNING." The Architect booms. "THIS LOCATION IS - ZZZZT."
The painful erratic buzz sounds just as the floor beneath you begins to hiss. It slowly begins to lower, and the architect's spherical interface lowers with it, constantly buzzing at you in order to give you warnings- not to bring in contaminants, not to bring in weapons, not to bring in unauthorized personnel, not to bring with you test subjects... It's a long spiel, and you're already breaking most of those warnings anyway in order to get down to the computer core.

The ride down the lift takes only a fraction of the time you spent walking here, but it almost feels longer, with the Architect pestering you.

However, when the lift finally pulls to a stop, and the large blast doors on the other end of the room open up...

If you could salivate, you would be doing so.

What strikes you, then, as Dagon's blasted, hollowed out corpse wavers in the air for one last moment before collapsing, ponderously, is the smell. Like rotting seafood, the stench of decay only intensifying as the defeated demon begins to break up and degrade, mixed with the sickeningly potent scent of frying flesh.

Even if it is the smell of victory, it's still really quite disgusting.

In spite of this, the mood is reverent as you approach the dissolving sludge of the titan beast, picking your way carefully around the bones and scales that cling, desperately, onto material form. In the midst of a collapsing skull, you see a glint of pure white that could only be the object of your search – the final divine fragment. The sight of it, after what seemed like an eternity of fighting and chasing shadows, is almost enough to take your breath away.

Reaching out for that little piece of polished glass, you freeze in place as your phone chirps, chiming from deep within your pocket. Way to ruin the moment, you think to yourself as you pull it free and glance at the screen. Marco, his name flashing in a way that suggests urgency.

Exploring a creepy abandoned store, led straight to our group’s goal, a kidnapped Dokunemon.

Along the way, they found themselves allied with a tiny fairy Digimon, and squaring off against a small crew of pirates that run a slave ship.

After a brief patch up, the group arrived in Tube City, whereupon Dash quickly initiated a digital-organic handshake procedure, without hands, by way of reward for good behaviour.

With the others failing in the first few hours of asking for humans, Dash spent a few hours with Casey, helping her come to terms with things. Also, icecream.

Now, on with the adventure!
