You kick back on the hood of Misri’s newly converted N-1T. A lot of the pockmarks and holes in the old N-1 have been welded over with scrap and other metals. As a result, in order for it not to look like some Corellian cookie, Misri got to painting. She decided on red with black and white trim to match your R-22 and Sparks’ own paintjobs. If you do say so yourself, she is quite the artist despite being “blind” in only some definitions of the word. Right now, Misri was inside the blacked over cockpit, running through a new simulation. You were watching it on a holoscreen in your lap.

And so far, she was doing terribly. Taken twenty hits, three critical one of which disabled the left engine. She lost four wingmen, and so far in the Coruscant run she’s only advanced at most a few kilometers. You suppose everyone had to start somewhere.

Finally, her craft explodes. And on cue, her groan of frustration is loud enough to be heard through the blasterproof cockpit. She disengages the sim and opens up the cockpit. She throws off her helmet and leans out the cockpit. Sweat runs down her bare arms and her face. “How the frak do you do this!?” she yells at you. “It feels like I’m going to faint!”

“Fainting is a part of flight,” you explain. She tilts her head to the side, sighing. You pick up a rag, then start rubbing some sweat off of her cheeks. She barely responds to it, too tired to do so. “Look, back when I was a cadet, we had a training sortie which usually lasted around an hour. But every sortie was incredibly tiring you see, both physically and mentally. Two sorties is usually what we aimed for. Three, you’re brownnosing. Four, you’re crazy. Five is nearly impossible unless you’re not human. Six...”

“Impossible?” she asks.

Any requests for spells on those books? the only Ideas I could came out with that dont embarrass me are

A lifelink between mother and child so they have a shared hp pool, that way the child is less likely to die dur to a bad slip from the mom, for example.

A nausea-inducing curse so that the mother HATES alcohol, drugs and such stuff during pregnancy.

A healing spell for both mother and children, despite the children not being a "visible target" nor a "touch range" valid target, which means healers normally cant reach the child inside themother.

I have a number of other ideas I would name as embarrasing and am reticent to include. Would like your input on them. These being

1 - A 'curse' to define the gender of all children born from a target. That way Mako would only be able to give birth to males, and those males would only sire other males so there would be no contest for the throne. Of course the other use is to ensure females are born.

2 - Defining who the child will look most like. Again, even if Mako has daugthers, if they dont have black hair, there wouldnt be a issue with the throne.

3 - As a joke, I thought about making it possible for girl/girl couples to make one or both partners pregnant. You know how we made that joke about Mako thinking kisses led to pregnancy? what if there was a magic spell, curse or item that made it possible? since heroes are mant to add to the royal bloodline, I felt it would help explain why males arent considered vital in the empire. Basically, both girls swallow pill, girls kiss, one or both become pregnant.

4 - To keep the empress active, using magic, transferring the pregnancy to a willing recipient. One of her shadows, probably?

Like I said, I would like suggestions.

Things have been strange lately. Even taking this world's usual degree of weirdness into account, that simple fact is not up for debate.

For one thing, trees have been explosively relocated – you've still not learned how Scathach did that, actually – and the dead have risen. Carnby, the Scholar-King of the fairy kingdom, lifted out of the gross matter of human existence into a new, divine form. Not only has he risen, in fact, but he came with you to the Hellfire Club. Right now, if Amelia is to be believed, he's currently doing something...

Actually, you don't know what they could be doing. Something Amelia found distasteful, but she seems to find a lot of things disagreeable when Titania is involved. Shrugging angrily to herself, the girl herself shuts the door behind her and joins you, sitting heavily on the floor beside you. You estimate that about a minute passes before Cassandra rises, murmuring an excuse as she leaves the room.

Bad blood there, you realise, and it's not difficult to guess why.

A village forms near the Lavafathers shipyard, loyal Stonestars migrating to assist in the construction. Pylons of white bone and dark stone rise up, armatures swing through the air carrying carved stone and metal constructing the very first of the prototype ships for the Obsidianborn.

Stonestars watch in amazement as a large bowl of black stone levitates itself from the ground, an Obsidianborn standing on top to manipulate the hovering device. A Think Tank floats through the testing efforts, passing by a weapon that gathers a glowing orb of molten magma from a nearby pool before launching and splattering across the side of a distant hill smoldering from previous tests.

Think Tanks give lessons to Stonestars on the basics of spaceflight and the construction of spaceworthy craft. To the surprise of your Think Tanks the stonestars are quick learners, the best and brightest of them long been given lessons by the Obsidianborn in math and simple physics. Those researchers sent to the moonbase of Horizon's Drop already hard at work in their lessons as the Warriors are equipped with the new Cauldron-forged gear. Plates of bone and metal replacing their stone armor. The Stonestars are slimmed down and move with ease and speed through the low gravity, launching themselves with joy through the tunnels swinging arm to arm. Necrolyte soldiers left behind begin the basics of weapons training, stonestars equipping themselves with necroflensers and shardspitters or even the familiar Napalmthrower and Lightning Gun.

You look over the Stonestars under your control and in the service of the Lavafather. This race of warlike creatures show great potential to become a power in the galaxy and you are glad it will be under the service of the New Necrotic Armada.

Perhaps that's where the old Armada went awry. Why consume and reanimate when you can recruit and convert the living to willing give their lives and potential to you?

This town has given us nothing but trouble, and I'm pretty sure people here don't want any of us around anymore, they don't shout insults when I Walk down the street, and they've practically given us everything we need to get out of here for free, but I'm pretty sure they just want us out of their hair and as far away from them as possible.

You manage surprisingly well. Admittedly, much of your success can be attributed to the dogs, but even so. Your careful tracking brings you close to the herd and you can feel the breeze on your skin well enough to get downwind of them, sneaking closer and closer. Then, you give a piercing whistle and the dogs sprint away, fanning out and barking, dividing the herd and driving part of it towards you. You do not trust your sightless aim enough to react swiftly and hurl your javelin as you ordinarily would, however with your hands already extended, once the beast comes close enough, you already have the javelin hovering just beneath your hand and ready to go. At once, you launch it forward and skewer the leaping deer. Another whistle through your teeth and the dogs close in for the kill, bringing the doe down for you to prepare and bring home.

The forest around you pulses with life, like the beat of a heart. You don't receive a direct response from the stag god, but you can feel his presence, pushing your awareness towards what you seek. A hunter is as much part of the cycle of life and death in the forest, as any other animal. With your help, the herds are kept in check, the slow, weak and old weeded out and their numbers kept from overflowing what the valley can sustain. With Lugal's spirit guidance, you bring home more than you would otherwise be able to, so long as you take what he asks.

Welcome to A Song of Revenge and Gold: House Malroy Quest. In which you take the reins of a House of storied glorious past since Aegon’s Conquering, but whose fortunes have taken a turn for the worse in the doom that Robert’s Rebellion brought. Taking place in 284AC a year after the Rebellion has ended you are Brynden Malroy, second son to Lord Vamos Malroy and Lady Esemella Hayford and the last living heir to Steadhold and House Malroy.

House Malroy is a pre-genned House designed around the idea of a story within the Crownlands of a House fiercely loyal to the Targaryens and their attempts to live in this new world after Robert’s Rebellion. The new Lord Brynden Malroy is as well pre-genned but will take direction from the players in his ways and how he develops himself further. This Quest will be moderately more story driven than others of its kind, but the development of the House and her lands will take just as much importance.

If you’ve played one of the many Quests within the ASoIaF setting the rules of the SIFRP system should be known. I will be using the Game of Thrones edition, as well as a few of the expansions namely OOSP and a few house rules which will be explained as we come to them. If you have questions about how things work or why certain actions are taken I can explain them as we go along. In truth this is a learning experience for me as well.

Okay, so you aren't a completely new to the concept of being thrown into a confined space with a murderous monster and told that only one of you is walking out. The main difference is that mom always preferred to view that as “tough love” rather than a spectacle for entertainment. The other difference is that, unlike the Blood Guild, mom never paid you for the trouble.

With only a couple of hours to go before the night matches were set to commence, there wasn't really time enough to go visit anyone without being late for the opening. You'd hate to disappoint Kravana on your first night by being a no-show. With that in mind, you've spent the evening killing time at the arena, sampling the (terrible) food available from the stalls and idly watching a few of the contests.

You've never actually been here after dark before, since you can't say that spectating gory blood sports was ever a thing that appealed, so it's your first time seeing how the place changes once the sun sets. It's a palpable change in atmosphere, the last of the evening revellers stumble off home drunk, cursing their luck or praising their fortune betting on the matches, or just chattering excitedly about the memorable moments. The crowd filtering in are a far less cheerful looking bunch, oh sure, there's plenty of smiles to go around, but you don't think they're smiling over the joy of competition. No, these people came here to see something die, and messily at that.

You can't say you much care for that mood, but oh well. Gold's gold, and it's not like there's anything morally reprehensible about caving in the skulls of a few eldritch and undead horrors. Hell, it's probably the closest you've come to doing stuff that would make mom proud of you in years.

First point of business, Jarrik and Odel. Jarrick is a shepherd. His grazing lands extend to the edge of his property, and recently he was seen by Odel his neighbor, allowing his sheep to eat the berries from a bush on Odel's property.

Jarricks brother Jarron speaks for him at the Althing, and states that while it is admitted that the goat of Jarrick did eat from the bush that is Odel's, the sheep was not instructed to do so.

Therefor, he states that Jarrick is not responsible for the actions of his sheep, who acted on its freewill.

They offer the sheep for trial, should Odel wish to claim against it for the berries.

You look at Cilus, who has an unreadable look on his face. You wonder if he's still upset about the thief incident.

You start walking towards the girl with the drill, since you fear for her further safety as the seconds pass on. She’s apparently too focused on figuring out why the drill-bit isn’t going all the way through the two-by-four to notice your approach. Aside from the confused look on her face, she has a lot going for her: lean figure, heart-shaped face, pronounced curves and voluminous red hair that brought out the green in her eyes.

But you digress. You aren’t here to ogle. There’s plenty of time to do that tomorrow when you hit the beach proper. Right now, you’re on the clock, and as much as you’d like to continue to trace the line of freckles going down the small of her back, there’s a mystery to solve, and a finite timeline to do it in.
Squatting down beside her, you clear your throat to get her attention. “Excuse me, miss? That’s not the right way to hold the drill. Right now, you’re more likely to put a hole through your hand instead of the board.”

She turns towards you with a clearly irritated look on her face. “Well thanks for pointing that out, jerkwad. So now that you’re done correcting me, why don’t you back the fuck aaa….” Her snappy retort comes to a grinding halt as she fully takes in your appearance. Irrigation quickly gives way to muted awe, then intense scrutiny as her eyes rapidly dart across your body.

You give a wan smile as you try not to shift nervously. Earlier, you were just making general observations in a purely clinical tone, right? Right now, unless you’ve failed to notice a grease spot on your shirt from Lazy Susan’s that she did, you’re more than fairly certain that she’s undressing you with her eyes. Wow, this feels really uncomfortable.

It is having a little difficulty getting it's flesh to cease shifting colors. It is safe for now. The threat of sterilization has passed as the Janitor-bot makes it way back to Security. The Song quiets and flesh settles into dormancy, though the yellow tinge of fear still lingers in the refrain. Your puppet is safe for now along with it's stolen animal machines. The song frays slightly, becoming complex with new threads.
