You're also the descendant of some eldritch horror even if you don't look like it.
Your life changed from weird to dangerously weird after you answered a schoolmate's call for help. Somehow, she seems to be involved in some seedy stuff, considering you were both attacked by monsters, one of her friend's missing and you know she's not telling you everything.
And right now, you're both in bed. On your side, staring in sleepy confusion at the girl by you. At first you panic, not remembering anything from last night, but then the memories come back to you... And you still panic. Lots of awful crap happened. Wanda is curled against the wall, wrapped up in the covers so you can't help but wonder if you were woken up by the cold.
You simply roll over and off the bed, groggily rubbing at your eyes. School doesn't start until next week and since it's still Thursday, you've got some time off. You decide to take a shower to fully wake up before deciding what to do with your day. By the time you come out --fully dressed, it'd be too awkward to dress in front of your new friend-- Wanda is already starting to stir.
Your parents have already left for work and you're pretty sure your brothers aren't around since you can't hear Daniel's crappy attempts at playing the guitar or Mark screaming at some nerds in his computer.
