"Kami seemed nervous," Goku answers, looking ahead. "So this guy won't be a pushover. But, between the two of us, I'm sure we can handle it. Besides, Krillin, Tenshinhan and the others will be there to help."
He's probably right. Still, King Piccolo was a horrific monster and a deadly opponent. His son is definitely nobody to take lightly.
But, maybe you should let the mood become a bit more light. With a smirk toward your friend, you change the subject.
"Just so you know, I'm going to beat you in this tournament," you promise Goku.
"We'll see," Goku says, smirking back at you. "Anything's possible, I suppose."
