In this Civ Quest we will be trying to rebuild our own little slice of civilization in the post-nuclear wasteland and all that it entails.

But first we need to decide who shall run this new enterprise and choose what is S.P.E.C.I.A.L (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck) about them. First to three votes is chosen.

Gnolls are an odd Goblinoid Creature bound throught the Realm. They are unlike any other creature, sans perhaps Lycanthropes, in their appearance of two legged creatures. Their mind set is strange, savage, and lazy. As such, they have never adapted well to life within communities of any sort or created long standing communities for themselves and few do more than enslave or live as andits until their clans are driven off by small militias or adventurers.

Though, in recent years of the Collapse and Cataclysmic events around the world have torn most towns, villages, and kingdoms to shreds they still survive in their clusters far from the main points of the damage for the most part...yet now they must wander and perhaps start a new place for themselves. Yet where will they begin?

A: The Plains of Black: Known as an Old Battleground pre-collasp, this areas has been the site of countless battles and countless wars in the past with scattering of ruined forts...and perhaps other treasures.

B: The Blue Mountains: Named for the Varying blue color of the stones that make up the mountain's face. Many creatures had retreated to the safety of the mountain range with it's immense networks of caves that may lead to curious places.

C: The Ruins of Wallstanings, a former stronghold and capital city now lays in pieces. Few of the original inhabitants remain as most fled surely leaving things for the taking.

The continuing adventures of an Anon, his phantom partner, and the mob that wants them dead(er).

Where we last left our heroes, Anon tried to pull a fast one on one of the ghost mafia's Shadowmen and ended up punched unconsciousness (and into a tree).

He awakens to find himself in a warehouse with a strange woman in a Chinese dress demanding he tell her everything about his investigation.

Being the resourceful guy he is, Anon managed to slip his bonds and fight back. After an intense struggle, he seems to have gotten the better of the strange woman--who may or may not be of the fae.

But hey, at least Anon is pretty sure she isn't a ghost. That's some form of progress, isn't it?

Nantosuelta’s excitable dragon hatchling cycles between trying to overcome your strength and eating. The succubi are uncharacteristically relaxed despite Nana’s presence; the change in mood from the hatchling scampering around is quite significant. The hatchling has nearly doubled in size from when you first met it, as it devours the meat the succubi bring its rocky skin cracks and expands as its internal heat builds up.

You have to ignore the looks you get from the succubi, when they are not brining food or being chased by the hatchling they perk up and stare at you intently, having kids is on their minds – while they know Hestia will not allow this anytime soon but as their master they can still dream. When the hatchling decides that it isn’t going to get anywhere with you it switches to hunting.

“It is good that everything is fireproof here,” Nantosuelta idly comments while watching the hatchling trying to pounce on succubi, “when I hatched several houses, forests, mountains and villages burned down.”

“Hestia has built in fire proof enchantments for probably everything, so it should be alright,” you tell her.

Eventually a succubus gets caught and pinned to the ground, the hatchling is ecstatic but the succubi is getting burned forcing you to help her. That just results in you feeling that you’ve been had, the succubi rather than being afraid of the hatching overpowering her makes plans to ‘accidently’ be caught more often in front of you. The fanatical devotion of the succubi is still concerning to some part of you, they have mellowed out a lot but unlike the goblins the succubi are still demons.

“It is that time again,” Nana comments, interrupting that line of thought, you can feel the bond with her tingle a bit and dull before Hestia pings you and sends you her report.

Hey guys, I finally got time to continue working on the pdf, and one of the first things I wanted to try was to standarize item crafting instead of going with a touchy-feely thing where we (and by we I mean I) just lazily grab items from videogames and other sources and try to make them usable in our system.

So... yeah, Enhancements. Items, upon creation, can have natural traits and qualities, and the more or the better they are, the higher the quality of the item.

I ....basically wanted to hear your ideas and suggestions for item enhancements. They should be different from enhantments or curses or stuff that cards add to items.

For example, a Sloth card can grant "skill delay" to a weapon. If a monster is casting a spell or skill, and is hit with a weapon equipped with a Sloth card, that skill will take an extra round to finish casting. If the whole party has weapons equipped with Sloth, then the monster may be locked into trying to cast the skill forever and die without doing anything.
Sloth + Kobold instead grant Skill Cancelling, which simply cancels the skill or spell. It has obvious benefits, but the drawback is that now the monster can, you know, do something else, like attacking you.

A enchantment example would be Arcane Blaster. A weapon with Arcane Blaster adds more points of damage to a spell, based on how much mana was used to cast that spell.

For every 2 points of mana, you get 3 extra damage, and a rare version of Arcane Blaster can make that into a 1:2 ratio instead of 2:3.

Anyway, the pdf has some ideas for enhancements. Take a look and give me some feedback, please.

You always thought fairy tales were supposed to have happy endings. The brave knight is supposed to return, victorious, on his white horse and sweep the princess up into his arms. You're not really sure what happens after that – that's usually where the stories end – but it would probably be something equally nice. They get married, perhaps, and live happily ever after. That's the important part, the happily ever after bit.

Your name is Mia Vespucci, and you're starting to suspect that happy endings aren't something you can take for granted.

Perhaps roused by the quickly fading trumpets, the rider lifted his head and attempted to dismount, the attempt ending in an ugly collapse as he slid from the saddle. After that, with all the watching fairies devolving into swirls of panic and dismay, you lost track of exactly what happened next. In time, the knight was lifted from the mud and carried inside, with Cassandra trailing behind him. The rest of you followed awkwardly, and none of the pixies tried to stop you. "Do I look alright?" You ask Karas, who has spent his last twelve hours in your room with you as well, trying to keep you from melting down. He's hiding his exasperation very well.

He groans. Only a brother would put up with someone like this. "You look better than you've ever been." He reassures you. "I think we're keeping you locked in your room more to prevent everyone out there from falling in love with you at first sight, rather than just because it's a tradition that the bride should stay hidden before the wedding."

"Don't make this insane wedding any more complicated than it already is."

"What about the flowers?"

"Pyre Spark is in charge of the flowers. Relax." He stands in front of you, as if to discourage you from standing up restlessly again. "Millian's cooking, Radiant Starfall wanted to handle entertaining the guests before the main event, everything is set and ready to go. You just need to wait for midday."

You take three deep breaths.

You are Urist Twelfthbay, the moe personification of Dwarf Fortress- of course you're a dwarf, which makes you a short, sturdy creature fond of drink and industry. On the other hand, you live in Gamindustri, where everyone is either a cute girl or a Christmas cake, and beards and muscles are out of the question. Three months ago, a warp storm died down allowing access to a sector that had been sealed away from the rest of the Imperium for over two centuries. One Month ago, you were deployed onto the planet Aenigmus 6 in this sector, as part of the first wave reclamation fleet.Yesterday you and your squad went out on a routine scout into the jungle attempting to find any sighns of habitation that the overall scans could not.

Travelling into the jungle, you encountered a chunk of ruins, and got ambushed by strange skeletal xenos. In the ensuing battle, you helped save a squadmate from some kind of robotic beetles and had a bombardment called in on your position by your idiotic Vox operator. Trailing behind the rest of your squad whilst running to the adjacent river as fast as you could, you decided to throw the wounded squadmate you were helping into the river ahead of you to give them a better chance at survival instead of diving in right away to save yourself.

You blacked out as the shells began to crash down.
