You wake again with an ache in your back.
The pain of that lump of metal in you is excruciating, but Knightmare assured you that removing it would make more problems in the future for you. And you couldn't afford to get it done by a better surgeon, you simply know.
Still, today is the day you finally get your notification to your rank within the Peacekeeper's Union. It's a sour feeling, knowing you feel more like a spy than a member of the organization, but it's still an accomplishment.
Cracking your back, you slide on your costume (transferred to your room now. Being a member of the Union gives you more of an excuse with your landlord, you figure.) from the duffel bag and flip open your laptop, checking your email. Naturally, the notification email is there.
'NOTIFICATION: Your Ranking.'
Sliding your eyes over to the right confirms this email was sent by Cogmaster. Checks out alright.
Opening it, your eyes immediately scan for your rank and name, getting an eyeful of what you'd proudly be displayed under on the Union website.
