By being that face, she draws attention to the brand, and makes them sales. By not publicly advertising her exact role within the company, the masquerade goes on.
I think unfortunately Tabitha has been pushed into this position a bit, and now she attends cons as a prop maker guest based on this brand, and perhaps through less fault of her own than people may assume, the incredibly wide gaps in her prop building knowledge are starting to show and become more public.
Honestly, I'd have way more respect for her if she just put her hands up and said "my dad made this, and I'm wearing it to advertise us", rather than trying to pass herself off as something she's not.
