New taobao shop selling super copy fakes of Melty Cream Donut for a fraction of the price, with more print replicas in the works. Doesn't look like they custom size, but they are selling the fabric and matching lace by the yard. How do you think this will affect the replica debate? The resale value of these prints?

>>7594441 Dude I know this thread is ancient, but let me point this out...
A HUGE reason that brand coords look better is simply because brands offer a lot of matching accessories and socks and such for each piece, whereas bodyline usually does not. Therefore, "good" coords do NOT necessarily mean that the wearer put in any effort or creativity; they just clicked add to cart, add to cart, add to cart then threw everything on. I think bodyline wearers have to think a little bit more about their coord, and although it doesn't always look good at least they are trying, and most will accept con-crit. We are all lolitas and shouldn't make a fashion into a hierarchy. K thanks ;)

I was a fan of her's for awhile. She seemed to have a fun personality despite everything else. She seemed outgoing and engaging. Without any insults, just my own disappointment, her booth was a huge let down. No effort at all on her part. The entire time I was at her booth (which had no line at all I might add) she was lazily lounging around in a chair ignoring people, which was mostly the 10-15 fat neckbeards oogling her. She wasn't friendly or energetic at all. (Compared to the many cosplayer who were.) Hate Yayahan all you want, but her booth is actually decorated which shows she takes pride in her work, and she was running out from behind it hugging people and smiling and engaging everyone. The exact opposite of Nigri, who was simply laying there taking selfies while other cosplayers draped themselves across her. And I'm sorry, I just don't buy "Oh she was tired." Then why was she the only one behaving this way? Lucy Lawless is way older with more commitments and was actively engaging and fun to be around. And before you come in here and white knight her, ai-honey, at least you were TRYING to engage people around the booth. It's just not professional. So without insults, or mockery.. I'm just very let down in someone I actually thought was a cool person. That is all, seagulls.

I am just surprised she is my age... Does anyone have a pic of her with ZERO make up? I have seen pics with "Little" make up. Even with all the caked on make up she looks like one of those moms who's in denial they are old so they wear their daughters clothes.

>>7885614 I thought there actually was a good variety of panels and events, and at least the panels I went to, people knew their shit. Went to one about theatrical makeup, Powerglove, the JJBA panel, watched the cosplay show, a little bit of the dating game (only one of the ones I'm mentioning I thought was a bit meh), checked out a few of the swap meets, and the prop and armor building panel on Sunday. I don't go out of my way to go to a lot of panels at cons, so these were mainly ones happening when I had downtime where I didn't know what to do, but I do feel like any time I did find I had downtime and checked the schedule for something interesting to do, there was always something going on.

>>7887204 I think SJ is improving each year and I'm really optimistic about next year. A-Kon and Matsuri don't have the best reputations anymore, and I would really love it if my hometown had the Texas con that people actually wanted to go to. Of course, that will only happen when they can actually pull in big name guests, but so far, SJ has been really enjoyable IMO.

Heyo. I've never been to a con before. I'm going to be doing a day of Ikkicon with a friend this coming year mostly because we live in Austin. Then PAX for all three days with same friend for my birthday. We won't be cosplaying. Any tips for navigating this whole process, maybe find people to get drinks/smoke with?

Man, I love peeking in on these threads. It catches me up on the local toronto bullshit, and helps me make a mental list of who not to ever offer photoshoots to. I know a few couple people that've been mentioned here from back when they had just started started cosplaying. It's baffling to me how they were once sweet 15 year old girls, and now, well, 'Bec' lightens her skin with both makeup and shops, but is still "Mochatastic" on facebook... but that's just a little thing, compared to the other shit I see on here. I'll stick to finding no-names and bringing attention to them- its more rewarding anyway. They actually get excited when a photo you took of them gets popular.

Berry tsukasa - Mental ilness/(...)
Quoted By:
I had a friend which used to ps her photos to hell and back - she started photoshopping more and more until she really got mental problems. so I am following Berry for like..4 years now ? I have many old photos of her and its shocking how much she shoops her pictures. recently she just got dopple d sized breasts which she never had before, her nose gets smaller in every photo and she shoops her waist so damn small - it gets disgusting. in her photos she looks pretty emotion less and shes always saying that she "cant make faces" but few years ago she laughed pretty much in her photos. plus she always talks about getting fat, getting called fat and about how she had a bad realationship to her body opinions ?? old photo of Berry I V
