Dragon*Con is coming up. Who will be there?

I moved into the city last year for university but didn't plan enough ahead in order to go to the con; but I managed to go to the parade and it was unlike anything I had ever experienced, so I'm now expecting this crazy, exciting, over the top, huge event.
However, I've never been to anything quite like D*con and would love some pointers (or maybe some friends? as I have no cosplay buddies here) for my first time. I've been to AX, but I feel like D*con is sort of apples to oranges in comparison, at least from what I've seen and heard.

What's it like in multiple hotels, down town especially? What's it like to cosplay there? (When I was at the parade, it was ridiculously crowded, is the rest of the convention as packed?) Any exciting parties going on that I should know about? Is there a /cgl/ meet up potentially happening? etc.

What do you guys think of Ivy Doomkitty? She obviously uses corsets to appear curvy when she is really a blob of fat, which is sad cause I think her face is pretty decent. Is she respected around here or just a piece of meat?
Just want an opinion cause I dont visit /cgl/.

I'm part of the SF community and I absolutely love them. I'm planning on moving to west LA or back home to long island in NY. I was wondering if someone could tell me how those two groups are?

Hey, so what do you think about the Lolita Desu Facebook outfit contest with the cat theme? The prize is 100$ voucher for the LD shop, that works an entire year which I find really exciting, so I can´t understand why teher aren´t some decent entries. The girls either rely on having a real cat on the photo or they have some cat´s on the print, which I personally find more adequate for the theme.

What do you think? I know that one of the girls was on BtB this week.

How does cgl feel about cosplayers buying likes and ads. For example, Rosanna Rocha's page has jumped by 10k likes in the past few days due to ads and now people think she's super famous.
