Frankly, my local comm SUCKS. I'm talking 16-year olds wearing kids' jumpers, MLP belts, handmade headdresses that might actually BE maxi pads, combat boots, uninterested boyfriends as accessories, the works. How would I gauge interest/start a new one without being seen as elitist or hated? It might be unavoidable, but I want to associate myself with people who are actually invested in the hobby. Everyone here is so "I want to order from this super-cool site called Milanoo but my parents don't trust ordering online :(((((." The moderator of the facebook group doesn't even live in my state, for crying out loud!

/cgl/, I'm getting really annoyed of the females in my cosplay community who think they make awesome, sexy males. They throw some black eyeshadow on their chins/upper lips and think they're totally believable guys. Avengers movie characters seem to be the main thing right now. Tony Starks everywhere (Hey, just throw on some aviators and draw facial hair on and you look just like him, obviously!). Are there any other cosplay communities that have an extreme amount of this? Their ridiculous roleplaying and Facebook name changes are really getting on my nerves. I've only got one person added who does this, but the amount of people that go along with it is seemingly... abnormal.

Regardless, I know what you mean about fangirls shipping for small interaction. Banner's not going to turn to Stark and think, "Another man who can science?! I'm in love!!"

That's pretty convincing, though I can see some curves around your hips. And the lack of bulge doesn't help.

Hey Texas congoers! I was curious, since they've been at Matsuri, Texas Comic-Con, El Paso Summercon, Delta H Con, Mizuumi-Con, GATOcon, Comic Palooza, Anime Overload, Oni-Con, Ikki-Con, and are showing up at San Japan.. Do any of you know After Midnight Productions? What are your opinions on them? I was offered to work with them, have a really good friend in the cast, and have helped them at Ikki-Con, but they're filled with drama. Wanted to know if any of you actually know about them, since they're all over every damn con. This is them at Ikki-Con. I tagged along with them on this one.

I know some of them. They started out at the doller theater off of 45 where they did saturday night rocky 12pm but the group was pg for the rated r veiwing that got shut down by the cops each weekend. so they disbanded and became after midnight. The other group is much more adult. (Columbia is only like 17 shes still in highschool so therefore highschoolers always seem to have a stick up theirs) their based in south east houston near pasadena . Van the director is Columbias mom (long fingernails) and directs them and also did the gentic opera. Theyre just trying to get publicity and get their name out there. There part of the top groups that actually play Rocky. And has guest from california actually fly in to see them. but like all groups personality seems to get into much of their stuff.

Sachie Ai thread.
>dat feel you'll never date a hyper-aggressive, masculinized half-Asian, half white girl. According to her website,
http://www.cherrim.net "I feel like I am a very direct person. I hate it when people are shady or can't make a set decision. Usually my super dominant mode kicks in and I have to make a decision"
"At university, I generally seem like a very antisocial person lol. I'm a very social person outside of school though! [editor's note: This is not true]
And finally, a thousand hours of her doing photoshop.

I'm 6'2". Ideally, a girl should be taller than 5'4" for me. Mainly so I don't have to bend down to kiss her. ~ 5'8" is a good height. Shorter than me, but not so short she gets elbowed in the face accidentally, or causes awkward bending.

5'2" here. I realize that's considered relatively short but I live in a Hispanic-dominated city so it's really quite normal here.

I'm a 5'3 female and I love it, I love being able to wear highheels and not be overly tall. yes this means I cant cosplay as the tall and strong female characters which sucks sometimes but the ones I do suit me and I usually prefer their bubbly personality more. and may i just say that if my height is so fucking attractive then howcome I havent had a boyfriend (directed at person who made this picture) silly bitch.

>>9093636 I'm not arguing that it's silly, but it's not an extreme enough example to get so mad over. Just simply don't buy the pair she's selling. Something worthy of sandiness would be if someone posted the latest AP craze immediately after it sold out for three times the asking price, without precedence for the upcharge.

I have an irrational dislike for this girl. I almost feel bad about it except for the fact that she rips people off and is rude to most people. Does anyone else think she looks like a dog or a monkey? How can you be a Lolita "designer" and put so little thought into your hair/makeup?

And keep in mind a lot of people didn't buy food when we'd go eat, a lot of people would sit and just hang out have water, share an appetizer, someone would get a drink for them. We weren't stingy, if someone couldn't afford food we'd share.
