This isn't a "dissenting opinion", this is someone threatening murder multiple times. I cannot even conceive of how someone could think this was a freedom of speech issue.
Sure, you could argue that he was a shitposter and wouldn't have gone along with it, and that the cops overreacted, but you cannot argue that it was okay for him to talk about murdering infidels and not expect any consequences.
