>>43299538Tau can't do that either, only against tanks.
And just grab literally anything that allows you to either straight up charge them, or deep strike behind them. If you are standing behind the defense line, they don't get the cover save.
Or if possible, bring your ignores cover weapons. Heavy flamers still wreck gunline tau.
Or just do literally anything that doesn't involve flinging 20 shots at something that can wreck you. It's not that big, the circular modules can only carry 1 Broadside*, so no riptides, no large squads of broadsides. Only a handful of fire warriors. Shit, just throw regular bolters at it. Or use anything with at least a 3+ save that doesn't have AP3 or better.
*broadsides wouldn't get that benefit anyway, since they have to use their best save, so they would almost always use their 2+ armour save, since they can't go to Ground.
Really, it's not that hard. Acting as if this is OP because of the reflect, which I'll remind you only happens on a roll of 6 taken AFTER successfully saving a wound with a cover save. That is quite a few shots you need to average a wound on yourself. Hell, 20 shots would average about 12,75 hits, even at S5, that would mean only about 10 wounds, of which about 8 are saved. Of those 8, you have just above 1 wound inflicted back to you, which has the same AP as the original shot. Make that bolter shots from tactical in rapid fire range, and you'd have less than a half wound inflicted back to you. Oh the horror.
