Yes, some people prefer 5e.
I've met many others (along with myself) who tried it, thought it was okay, but decided it didn't offer anything good enough to replace the customization opportunities and options it lacks and they have said it will never have, concluded that we liked it less than pf, and went back to it.
I was holding out waiting for fr support in 5e, and if they start to provide fr support, I may go back (then again I may just buy the 5e fr books and use them with pf).
