Something is watching me, I can feel it at the back of my head, a pair of eyes staring at me from some place I can't quite see, something just out of the corner of my eye, but maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid. I sigh and hug Maria's arm, well if someone is watching me, I've got to be sure to keep Maria safe, especially when she's as happy as she is now, I don't want to ruin her day, and if anyone else does, well I'll just have to deal with them.

"Hey eli isn't it mother's day?" Elizabeth asks on the other side of the couch

"I think it is" I say "why?"

"No reason, just feels a bit weird not celebrating it" she sighs "Since you know, mom died"

"Yeah it isn't a good feeling is it" I sigh, feel a twinge of guilt run through me, knowing I'm probably the one who killed my own mother because of my own experiments... though I can't say I really regret it...but some part of me does "but hey we still have eachother don't we"

"Yeah" Elizabeth says sadly "Yeah we do, hey, what about you Maria, what about your"

"She's dead" Maria says, sounding like she's on the verge of tears at the mention of mothers "I killed her but...I didn't"

"You..killed your own mother?" Elizabeth asks, sounding a quite horrified "How could you"

"It was the other me" Maria sniffles "she does things like that, I don't want to talk about it, so please just don't ask"

Elizabeth looks at me and smiles slightly before she turns back to the tv. I hug Maria's arm tighter, trying to cheer her up a bit as she shakes slightly as she holds back tears.

"Well maybe we could celebrate their memory" Elizabeth says, no doubt trying to cheer maria and herself up.

Hey /tg/,

So I run a minecraft role play server, set within the dwarf fortress universe. Players can join one of four races, Dwarves, Humans, Elves and Kobolds. We use plugins to restrict certain items such as brewing stands to dwarves, so each race has something specific they can use to trade to other races. Right now we're looking for new players to join. We have a small but dedicated player base for each race and we're as close to Dwarf Fortress as we can get, but allowing for players to freely roleplay in their own way.

We ask that players use skins, character names and in character dialogue that reflect the races well. This is pretty much kept up to the player's discretion, but there are skins available on the support forum. Kobolds within the setting are traditionally "cutebold" style - cutebold skins are available on the server's support forum- but scaley bolds are also welcome as kobolds are a sort of mongrel race.

We also have simplified rules, and have let players take their races in certain thematic directions that doesn't hurt the overall setting. Example, the Elves have developed into building in Aztecian style and utilise a zigguraut for sacrifice. Because of a botched ceremony (the kobold they were going to offer up escaped mid ceremony) they're currently under the effects of a curse. We emphasise community in the server too, so that a city can be truly built by many hands.

We also utilise civilisation rankings, giving players rewards for roleplay and craftsman/elf/dorfship of their capitals. We've smoothed out a lot of wrinkles from since the server's inception and intend to focus heavily on Role Play. Each race will be in opposition to the other, creating tensions and the moderators will run server wide events, such as goblin invasions and monster attacks.
