“Start talking,” says Morrigan, “and maybe I don’t shoot you.”

“What I was trying to do was get your boy over there alone,” says the woman, her eyes locked on yours, “So I could try and get him to give me some weapons. I want out of here, but they’ve got some of my friends under guard on this floor. I was going to take them out for you but your boy there is apparently not tempted by a woman propositioning to him.”

Morrigan doesn’t look back at you, but you can tell she wants to.

“He’s not tempted by much at all,” replies Morrigan.

“So do you believe me?” says the woman, “Or are you going to shoot me now?”

Can we fucking STOP using fantasy as an excuse?

This type of bullshit is EXACTLY why fantasy is considered SHIT-TIER by 90% of writers and people. This is exactly why people laugh at you.

Because when you are in a D&D game and someone decides to do something entirely unrealistic and unbelievable, and some CUNT says "it's a fantasy game durrrr" as if the existence of magic and monsters means we have a free pass to turn everything into a retarded wankfest.

You cannot cut through a stalactite with a dagger. Unless it's a *very* magic dagger. The existence of magic in the world does not automatically destroy the laws of physics. And even if you HAVE magic, no, you cannot use control animals to give your animal dark vision. You cannot just say "okay I can cast invisibility" every time you want to go through a building when you can only cast that spell 3 times per day.

Let me say this ONCE and ONLY ONCE: The existence of dragons and fireball spells DOES NOT mean that EVERYONE is capable of doing impossible feats that make ZERO sense. Obviously we stretch realism, it's heroic fantasy, not gritty realism. But you don't get to stop making sense just because Dragons and Magic HAPPEN to exist in the same setting.
