So, I've had the craziest idea recently, /tg/. I've been longing for the 90s era of hyperviolent, hypersexualized anime OVAs (In the style of Apocalypse Zero, Violence Jack, Wicked City, Genocyber and weirder stuff) combined with the more modern seinen manga. You know, the kind that takes place in a crumbling urban dystopia...Sort of like the Kara No Kyokai movies, Ga-Rei Zero, the Skullman reboot, and more than I could possibly name.

So I was wondering - Could a game in the Taimanin Asagi setting work? Alternatively, something like Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Blade, where demons are a serious threat...But there are hypercompetent superhuman agents, impossibly masculine main characters, and a deep, deep thread of nihlism?

(Note: Taimanin Asagi is a hard-core pornographic series. Don't Google it at work, because there's some really extreme stuff there.)

Toying with the idea, I'm aware there's a lot of sex and violence, but I was thinking it'd be more alluded to than explicitly shown. With the main characters being fundamentally heroic, tasked with battling the demons and crazed abominations that keep emerging.

“I don't believe it.” Charlotte says in utter disbelief, “To think they want to make me a Candidate Rep.”

Here you are, John Smith, sitting next to Charlotte Dunois reading over the USB the French Diplomat, Louis de Levezou, gave you. The contents were a formal letter of apology by the French Government along with the invitation of becoming a Candidate Representative for France. It lists all of the benefits and pay of such a position.

“Well it makes sense from a political perspective. To try and get one of the closest persons to me under their thumb.” you explain. “It's just a play for securing future power.” you add.

“I know, but still. I don't like the idea of being used this way. It makes them seem no different than my father.” Charlotte responds, her voice coming across as very fragile.

“Then don't. This is your choice, and you have the choice of not accepting to become a candidate rep.” you reply.

“I know John. I'm just shocked that they would act now.” Charlotte replies, now with a slight bit more of calmness in her voice.

“Well, it may have not been possible sooner since the first Tournament was interrupted by the VT debacle. Or they could have been biding their time to see how you react to the situation. But these are just rationalizations. In the end it is your choice, one that I will help you with no matter what you choose.” you reply calmly.

“Thanks John.” Charlotte says as she leans more onto you for support. “So what do you think our first step should be?” Charlotte asks, still leaning on you.
