Happy holidays, /tg/. I'd say I had a good Christmas, but I've been spending the last three days dealing with a wicked cold trying to kick my ass, so I couldn't get out much. That wouldn't stop me from getting you guys SOMETHING for Christmas, so I hope this gift is enough.
I bring you version 1.14, the December 2015 update. The changes here are few but significant: >Changed the character progression rules. In short, it's more expensive than before to improve your character's stats, just so the stats don't balloon out of control. >Removed rank 10 from the Speed table. Now there's less discrepancy between what the four methods of movement are capable of. >Added information on health regeneration in the Health and Energy section of the mechanics chapter. This nebulous section has gone unsaid for some time. >Assorted proofreading

This might be a one shot thing or a whatever, depends on how I feel. I've never run a quest before, but I feel like it might improve my DMing skills a bit.
Anyways.
You are Madotsuki, a statistic of Japan's slowly growing hikikomori population. You haven't gone outside for close to six months, now, but you pay the rent when asked, so your landlord has not bothered you. You're at the ripe old age of 20, and make an okay living at your computer filling out spreadsheets and selling hats on DotA 2. You have a passing interest in retro game systems, but due to the fact fact that you know better than to spend your already sparse food money on gaming gear, you only have a NES and some weird knockoff game that better belongs on the Atari, called NASU. It creeps you out a bit, so you usually don't play it unless you're really bored and you don't want to sleep.
And you really, really don't want to sleep tonight. You're currently lying in your bed, listening to the fireworks crackle and people cheering down below, sometimes banging your head against the wall when you feel like you're dozing off.
Damn, this is hard, and you're running out of options. You don't have any channels, the cheering is starting to become repetitive and rhythmic, lulling you into a trance, and doing spreadsheets might make you lose yourself even further!
You are Aenna Greenhart, a faerie from the Grand Emerald Woods that have recently come under control of the Diemheld Empire. The humans are a bit blunt, but your mother, Sarrana Greenhart, The Queen of the Northern Faeries, has agreed to send you as a student and diplomat into the Diemheld capital to learn their ways and to solidify peace between the faeries, the humans, and the other races that have come to join the Diemheld Empire.

You have just moved into your room, moderately sized and elegantly furnished to reflect your noble stature. Everything is human sized, but royal faeries like you are much larger than the rest of your kin at a grand 4 feet tall, so the furniture isn’t too big of a hassle. Your human guide, Alexander, moves the last of your bags into the room and bows in the corner as you examine the small baubles that decorate your room. Despite your ‘elite’ upbringing, you still have an unusual fascination with human culture, hence why you were so enthusiastic to act as a ‘diplomat’
“You came at a fortuitous time, ma’am.” Alexander said, remaining bowed as he spoke. He was nice, as far as humans went, if you were into that sort of thing. “The various guilds are showcasing their acts and abilities to recruit new members. If you would like, I would be honored to show you to the arenas.”
Huh. You think that might sound interesting. And maybe you could join a guild, since you are supposed to interact with humans as much as possible while you are here. There are three guilds; the Architects, the Guardsmen, and the Mages. You could go watch any of their performances, and each one is sure to be a spectacle. The Tenenbra’s, the noble family that has taken you in and given you a place to stay during your stay in the Diemheld Capital, are already at one of the performances, though you don’t know which one they attended.

I am Daniel Speltin, top tier waste of potential and mid tier student, all round unimportant person about town.
I reach a hand down and physically shut Claires jaw, as Avery realises her situation, rapidly rushing to rebuckle her clothes, dark skin tinged with blush.
Claire however, has a greedy look in her eye, she takes one look up at me, before whispering, "Dibs."
I start to question her, before she bolts out of her seat, grabbing Avery around the waist when she turned her back and rapidly sprinting for the basement door.
"What in the FUCK!" The captive girl screams, kicking at the air, "Get off me you dyke!"
Claire just cackes, "It ain't gay when you have your equipment." She pushes the door open, waving at me. "This'll be fun, promise." She swears, taking the stairs noisily.
I stare after her, shaking my head.

All of your copies attack Frieza at the same time, striking hard and fast, doing everything in their power to land hits on your foe.
"Come now, is this really it?" Frieza asks as he evades each attack. "No last-ditch attacks to pull out, now? You're simply going to repeat the same failed strategy over and over? It seems children are incapable of learning. You are foolish, even for one so young, and I grow tired of dealing with you."
He lifts his right hand and shoots a red beam of energy through one of your copies. You feel a fraction of your full strength return, and another as he destroys the next copy. Soon, you are the only remaining Kaguya, and you're even stronger than Frieza.
When the next blast comes, you move out of the way and decide how to deal with the galactic tyrant.
If he is only fighting at sixty percent of his power, you might want to end this quickly, before he can become too powerful. At any rate, the multiform strategy will probably not work anymore.
