At the moment of his death during a plane crash, a 29 yrs old chemical engineer and fellow fa/t g/uy wondered about how many little details his mind latched on to while trying to keep him alive.
Such as his favorite, lucky d20, flying off his pocket and bouncing around in the mayhem that surrounded him.
Well, he must have rolled a critical success in someone's reincanation tables, because the next thing he knew, he had been reborn in a world of sword and sorcery the likes of which he had always dreamt of.
Now aged 11, our MC, young Eldric Lightbringer, is already a 3rd year in Albion's Magic University, surrounded by loving family and the intellectual elite, already at the cutting edge of magically-powered technology, managing an important, thriving business across the northern continent's Coalition countries, and growing taller seemingly on a daily basis as his young body hurries up to catch up with the overwhelming attributes his otherworldly knowledge helped him achieve in a world ran by old RPG mechanics.
Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
But damn, its fun.
You are Zachary Zelnacki, newly formed Epic. Two months ago, super-powered people rose from the wea-I mean normal. Yeah, normal. You have the ability to control vectors, allowing you to change the speed and direction of any solid object within 15 yards(13 meters). You are also inhumanly tough, able to shrug off small caliber weapons. Finally, and perhaps most important, you are able to absorb powers from dead Epics, if you touch them within ten minutes of death.
You witnessed an Epic fight in the local Middle school, and absorbed the power of steel manipulation and regeneration. You then uploaded the video of the battle and bought a Glock. Finally, you check around town for anything of interest. You see a poster about an Epic in Sacramento, read about a trio of Epics that took over New York City, and learned about LA.
You went on the road, driving to New York. In Colorado, a blockade forces you to pull over. After killing two men, the militia is able to handcuff you. Put into a large execution machine, open to the public. Who were there in large numbers, unluckily for them. Fearing for your your life, your powers fly out of control. Forming a metal shell around yourself, a rampage ensues. Nearly 20% of the town's population later, you reach your car. You fall into a fitful sleep, full of flashing lights, pleas for mercy, spraying blood, and a feeling of overpowering strength. 1/?
"If you really want someone to go with you I can arrange someone to do it." Hiro would probably love to go with her. Although for the past few days he seemed to have lost interest in Akari, a date with her would reel him back in.
"Eh? Really?" Akari looked excited. "Thanks for your help Souta."
"No problem." You didn't know why but your heart skipped a beat when you saw her smile at you like that. The next time you saw Hiro you told him about it but he seemed reluctant.
"Ah... going with Akari huh?" He whispers to you. "This weekend too?"
"Yes, you said you wanted me to be your wingman right? So you better go."
"Hmm about that... I think I'm a bit bu-" With one glare from you, Hiro is interrupted. "A-Alright I'll go." You give Hiro her number and you knew he wouldn't let you down.
Finally, the weekend arrives. Although the past week have been all great, sunny days, the weekend seemed to bring gloomy weather along with it. You start off your day by waking up earlier than Yuzu. Then, you give her breakfast in bed. "Wow! This is so amazing Souta!" Most of your living expenses came from your parent's but it was hard to deny that Yuzu also contributed some from her salary. Yuzu was a loyal girl who you knew would never betray you.
After breakfast you take Yuzu to the mall. "I saved up a bit of money so you can get whatever you want okay?"
The infinite war has raged for a thousand years. Hundreds of worlds have been laid waste. Uncountable lives lost. No one remembers a time without the threat of sudden, horrible death.
You are a Commander. One of the few living beings on the battlefield. Your personal armor is a 90 meter tall juggernaut, capable of stripping a planet of resources and then converting those resources into units or structures in minutes. You lead an army of unmanned drones, ranging from scouts the size of airliners to behemoths that can crush buildings beneath their feet.
You have been deployed to the front lines in preparation for a massive assault on an enemy held planet.

>>This game puts you at the center of an epic tale of faith, war and betrayal, all the while staying true to the pen-and-paper role-playing tradition. (gog's description, not mine)
Neverwinter Nights is an aging roleplaying game with an equally as aging player base, all culminated around a few major servers (Amia, Arelith, Sinfar all come to mind).
So lets continue the discussion of the crap heap that is this game, that we all play for...reasons.
Finished last discussion talking about Arelith and Sinfar factions. Anyone want to continue?
Ideally a chunk of four hours or more between UTC 1600 and UTC 0500. Most days have around the same activity. Weekends tend to be slightly more active than weekdays. Holidays tend to be less active.

Sucks m8, go to WorldTimeServer.com and calculate a proper runtime for yourself, then cry when it's a shit time with no players.
> How fast should I update my quest?
10 minutes for the voting and 20 minutes for the writing is a good ratio. Anything up to an hour to update is generally accepted. If you take more than 90 minutes to post an update, you should try an alternative site
