>What is Shadow of the Demon Lord?:
Shadow of the Demon Lord is a horror-fantasy TTRPG that presents a world standing on the brink of annihilation. In this game, you and your friends play characters charged with fighting back against the spreading evil, whether that involves tracking down potent relics, exploring ancient faerie ruins, journeying into Hell to bargain with the Devil, or battling demons and the cultists who summon them. The system is setting agnostic and has a wide variety of possible details for your own world.

It's a "gray fantasy" game using a modified version of SotDL's rules. It's a new game and setting that "sheds much of the bleakness and foulness of SotDL to offer a game suitable for just about anyone. You play heroes who struggle to help those in need against the sickness, despair, and corruption found in the world. While you can make the game more gruesome if you wish, the intent is for you and your friends to do good deeds and feel great about doing them." It's finished its final public playtest phase.

So when did the hobby become completely gay and lame? I remember it used to be metal, even for nerds and fatguys, but we still had some masculinity and there was a variety of players. Now every fan is apparently gay, a tranny, an effeminate twink, or a woman pretending they've always liked playing with tiny plastic soldiers and aliens in dorky wargames. I mean look at the Youtubers promoting the hobby. For Christ's sake you don't have enough testosterone or charisma in this image to fill a shot glass. It's pretty embarrassing.

The hobby was always for nerds, but when did it become so feminine? I never thought I would prefer the days of actual awkward social outcast nerds over this new fake social media gaynerd cringe. I can't even watch most of these videos. The white guy in Play on Tabletop literally shrieks and waves his fucking hands around like a little girl. It makes me sick and embarrassed and I turn it off.

How do we fix the hobby to make it cool again?
