>>30637344>>30637867Ok, Back home.
Not much of a storyteller but here goes.
So a few years ago in college I was reminiscing about all the fun I had with D&D 3rd edition when I was younger.
We never really played the game by the rules, since we were pretty young and didn't understand/care about a lot of the technical stuff. It led to a lot of weird races and classes going on.
For example, a friend of mine was a Kraken-man, complete with multi-weapon fighting.
Well I was a Golemancer, or that's what I called it then (stupid, I know)
The DM extensively fudged the rules for me since its was never a serious game for us. so I got to summon and make weaker versions of a lot of the golems in the D&D books, plus some other ability's he made up.
Fast forward a few years ago. I remember the games being really creative and very funny and I wanted to capture that again. I start looking for a group around my campus and find that the closest thing to anything /tg/ related is an anime club that plays MTG and a few other games. (plus watches episodes of a different anime every week)
I go to the club the first time and see some people set up on a long table for D&D, Score!, didn't even have to ask around or anything. When I ask if I can join he says OK, but not this session then tells me where to download a sheet. I borrow his book to go through the classes and races and such, and I figure since I had so much fun with the class when I was younger why not ask to see if he could house rule having a golemancy thing. He gave me a deservedly weird look and was like
"No, that's powerful." Then takes a second and goes
"I could fluff the Wizard class to be like what you described though."
Which I was totally cool with, He ends up fluffing my summoning as golems, and my familiar as a tiny/small sized golem, which he told me to choose a type from the book. He tells me I could play the character next session.
