Shadow of the Demon Lord is a horror-fantasy TTRPG that presents a world standing on the brink of annihilation. In this game, you and your friends play characters charged with fighting back against the spreading evil, whether that involves tracking down potent relics, exploring ancient faerie ruins, journeying into Hell to bargain with the Devil, or battling demons and the cultists who summon them. The system is setting agnostic and has a wide variety of possible details for your own world.

It's a "gray fantasy" game using a modified version of SotDL's rules. It's a new game and setting that "sheds much of the bleakness and foulness of SotDL to offer a game suitable for just about anyone. While you can make the game more gruesome if you wish, the intent is for you and your friends to do good deeds and feel great about doing them." It's finished its final public playtest phase.
