theory: when you have a large enough extended universe, stretched out through enough material, you can explain ANYTHING. Absolutely any kind of bullshit will fly. In fact there will be people who make it their business to defend your plot holes.

I'm inspired to make this thread by what transpired by my party.


What's the dumbest thing you've seen your party do for loot? Like, so dumb it breaks character, dumb that it doesn't make sense and the players are unashamed or fail to see their own stupidity in getting said loot.

Here's some background: We're underground. We've actually been underground for 5 days for what should have been a 1 day adventure. We are low on supplies, most importantly food and light. No one is a wizard and we only have 2 sunrods left. Sunrods last 4 hours each so we had 8 hours to either finish the adventure or be forced to go back into town and buy more. Here's where the stupid comes in.

> The DM baits us with loot at the end of a tunnel.
> The catch: the loot was semi buried and digging it out could cause the tunnel to collapse.
> First digging attempt: failure. Tunnel collapses and we all barely make it out.
> I'm thinking the loots lost forever; the cleric thinks otherwise.
> In between us and the loot was a 35 foot long tunnel completely filled with rock, dirt, and sand.
> The clerics solution: Dig. Bare handed.

A chill wind blows through the streets of London.

Your teeth chitter as the winter air cuts like daggers upon your face. Perhaps it is from nervousness, a sour cramp rolling in the pit of your stomach as the Clock Tower casts its foreboding shadow upon you. Or maybe it's from the bitter chill that has blanketed all of Britain this year, too cold even for all but the lightest dusting of snow. It certainly doesn't help that you're fresh to the country from a warmer land, and didn't think to pack for the arctic. Two layers and a scarf just isn't going to cut it here.

But the cold isn't important. And your nerves can be quashed. You are a Magus, a weaver of mysteries and wielder of the arcane arts - if you cannot bring yourself to overcome petty things like the winter's chill and social anxiety, you are unworthy of the title. To reach for the Root is to embrace death as a close friend, and share with it your afternoon tea. Hesistation and doubt are enemies to be destroyed.

Still, you wait a moment before stepping over the bounded field. It's magic washes over you, thick as mollasses and slick as spilt motor oil, no doubt telling someone that you've entered the premises. Your second steps come easier as a brigade of Enforcers does -not- descend upon you, and in no time at all you've crossed the snow-dusted courtyard and stepped through the doors.

It is much warmer inside, so much that you feel the need to unbutton your coat. Everything is old in this place, nothing newer than the nineteenth century, and as consequence everything is -magical-. There is no secretary or receptionist there to bid you welcome to the Tower, but as you approach the front desk, a black cat uncurls itself. Appraising you with its golden eyes, it licks its paw, before speaking.

"New arrival, then?" it purrs, its voice deep and weary. "Another year, another batch of failures, I suppose. Which one are you, then?"

CYOA quest! Going to be a single run, i'll keep going as long as at least 3 people show continued interest. Anyways this green text the basics

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubus Lord Quest! Halloween edition and the one where I stop watching Symphogears G to write this.

Last session on Succubus Lord Quest was the long awaited reunion Brooklyn had with his male body... thought not in the way she’d of liked. His male body had been transformed into something called a Draugr, a form of super zombie often generated as a super assassin. Brooklyn’s male body had all the capabilities of Brooklyn in his Succubus body but an even better grasp of magic and fighting abilities, geared with only objective in mind: Kill Brooklyn.

After going through nearly an entire guard force in the Laminian town and holding his own against four Wrath Demons, our heroes decided to leave Draugr Brooklyn behind in an effort to be better prepared the next time.

Then after we moved into a new place and there was a party to be had. We now continue the morning after the party!
