So, has anyone on /tg/ actually played this game? Because I have to say, it looks and sounds amazing. Does anyone have any gameplay stories , campaign stories, or characters they could share?
So, yeah. Fate of the Norns general (probably not going to happen, but I'm going to try). Someone please sell me on this game.
You are Masako Ishikuno, also known as Mirror Blade to your former "allies". You have switched sides to protect the human world because it seems so much more fun. Also a normal life doesn't seem so bad.
You just ran made Misa's brother back off but he realized both you and your sister look suspiciously like 2 girls he knows. He's sharp, you'll give him that, but very tactless...so far no one has made a fuzz about you and your sister. Maybe he's special maybe not but right now Momoko just asked you a question. A very important one with self incrimination implications but right now you've got nothing to hide.
"Well, I decided to join your little fencing club...its much more interesting than the others and I just realized that my firsts work better while holding a piece of metal."
"You should've seen her cap'. She moves just as good as you do, maybe even better! She beat Masaki without breaking a sweat. You should approve her and make it all official and stuff." Says the boy who you didn't humiliate. She looks between you and her little gang...well, at least she doesn't look angry, just very very confused.
She's staring at you.
[]Won't cause no trabble []I'll help you win this thing. []Smile!
You've never really done anything great with your life. You have always been content with being normal and passing your days without incident. Looking out the window you yawn as the teacher lectures your class. "How much longer until lunch time?" You think to yourself.
Every day to you has become repetetive and boring. It's always been get ready for school, go to school, come home, and then sleep and repeat. It's come to a point where you make it a game to see how long you could stay awake during your classes.
As you fall asleep your class representative digs her elbow right into your rib cage keeping you awake. "Stop falling asleep! You are a third year now Kira! You should be more responsible!"
She has always been preachy like this. "Alright... fine fine..." Her position as a class representative just makes it worse.
You shake your head to try and keep yourself awake. She then taps you on the shoulder. "What is it? what do you want Hiromi?"
"I was wondering if you are free afterschool" She whispers to you. "I want someone to accompany me somewhere"
[ ] "I'm busy after school" You are too lazy to accompany her.
[ ] "Yeah... whatever" She is a friend, do this special service for her.
Last spring, the tribe's huntsmen found the well-preserved corpse of a wolf under the snow near a river. The shaman thought this was a good omen, and had the wolf's skull mounted on a staff and used as a totem in the nightly rituals.
months later, you, the shaman's apprentice, are haunted every night by dreams.
The wolf totem keeps calling to you every night, telling you it was no simple wolf. It had fed on humans and thus its spirit had awakened and ascended after its death.
It offers to teach you the secrets and powers of the wolves and the spirits, and it will help you become chief of your tribe. In exchange it wants you to sacrifice the body of a human for it to inhabit, so it can walk by your side as "wolf and man"
Your shaman has refused the offer, now it's asking you.
There is a shit ton of Pathfinder and DnD4th edition threads, but none for a cool new fantasy d20 system? Lame. Discuss 13th Age in all it's sexiness here.
