>>65779588This post probably has historical status by now. Two years later, it's still being referenced by the poster on the live board.
If you happen to be reading this right now, friendo, you're probably yet again
ruminating on how disappointing your creative journey had been since that day. It doesn't seem like it'll ever change, contrary, it feels like your disappointment and resentment grows with every new thread.
So, maybe this time try to imagine, what would've happened if that day you hadn't posted on 4chan, but on, let's say, DeviantArt, or any other place with a creative writing section? Could've it been different? Less disappointment? Genuine fun instead of resentment?
You imply that the people here destroyed any possibility of deriving enjoyment from your work, so I can understand you going back and wondering "when it all went wrong". But I think this is only true if you consider 4chan as the only place on the whole Internet where you'd ever want to post your work - which isn't true (and despite what chan culture is trying to make you believe, imageboards are NOT the ultimate authority on all subjects) A place you feel so negative about isn't somewhere you'd like to be, least of all share anything on. Being here is just a counterproductive torture for you.
Did choosing 4chan prevent you from trying anywhere else? If you
made a "first post" somewhere else today, would there be a chance for you to have something more than resentment as you look back in another 2 years? You probably feel attached, having spent that time here, but so what? People have wasted much more time than that on things. Being attached to a place you hate is poisonous.
And if you had found somewhere you'd really feel like belonging, you probably
would no longer care about what people here on 4chan think. There'd no longer
be a reason to prove anyone here wrong. It'd be just some distant past.
Think about it. At this point, you'd have more to gain than to lose.
