Welcome to Exalted: Chained to the Sky! This is a quest using the setting (but not the mechanics) of White Wolf's Exalted RPG! It will be a primarily text-based quest, because my art skills make the Cyanide & Happiness guys look like Don Bluth.
Your character has two visible stats: Health and Willpower. Health measures how close he is to dying; Willpower measures how close he is to losing his mind or will. In addition, our hero starts out with a number of hidden stats: Physical, Mental, Social, Essence. Physical measures how much physical smackdown he's able to bring and take, Mental measures how perceptive and how much psychic pain he can take (and dish out), and Social measures how good he is at delivering social assaults and how effective he is at dealing with other people generally. Essence measures how much Essence he's got. Note that minor power usage won't usually consume Essence; calling your weapon to your hand, identifying and tracking a local spirit, or making your voice audible over even a large crowd are examples of minor power usage. Major power usage, on the other hand, will usually drain Essence, though Essence can be replenished. Launching or deflecting an incredibly powerful blow, summoning a demon or implanting a hypnotic suggestion into an unwilling target, or turning a peaceful crowd into a lynch mob would all be good examples of major power usage.
Commands will be chosen based on popularity, primarily, but where possible multiple commands will be carried out.
With that in mind, it's time to pick our first character:
> Stalker in Raven's Shadows, Day Caste Abyssal
> Tepet Javara, Fire Aspect Terrestrial
> Brass Teapot Tempest, Slayer Caste Infernal
> Laughing Sky, Eclipse Caste Solar
