Though, frankly, "Gypsy" is of more uncertain pejorativeness than, say, nigger.
It is, however, a misleading and incorrect term, as not only is it not used by the groups in question, it's used for several disparate groups, such as the Rom and Travellers, who have no ethnocultural connection other than being itinerant peoples among largely stationary cultures. None of them are from Egypt, though.

I'm hoping to sidestep most of the seed hardware issue with the original Orion launches. Idea being that the scientists and engineers figured the ships just needed mass, so might as well pack them with stuff that would be useful if the mission succeeded. Not exactly a big loss if the missions failed. So I'm running with the 2 surviving Orions having each provided roughly 40,000 tons of supplies and hardware, not includin the structure of the ships themselves. Really jump start things.
The doomsday folks and survivalists had occurred to me, I'm just not sure how to make it interesting. I figured the rise in preppers might help with partial or full government collapse in many places, and provided an excuse for why spaceships are not under government lockdown despite each being a potential wmd. This is all say roughly around 100 years before present day in setting, so I don't need to know exactly what happened. It's different factions and directions they may have gone where I'm stuck.
Quite often when I'm makin a world I have 2-3 factions with a lots of detail, and then the rest end up super generic, Eg. Mongol Elves, Byzantine Dwarves, Space Imperial Japanese, etc. I'm trying to avoid that...

Anywho, we should get a succession fort going. I think most of us haven't played in years but Adventure Mode has only gotten better and better with those vaults and the other amazing, subtle additions.

You are my brothers in torment. Only way to play Rifts and play your sanity is to house rule it extensively and stick to one particular setting. For the love of god, don't mix your Anvil Galaxy OOCs with relatively normal ones on Earth and then wonder why it's not balanced.

I'm thinking making a series of campaigns based on the books, but I have a few questions;
Does it sound like a fun/viable idea at all?
What should one think about when adapting a book to a campaign?
What system would you use for this? I've been thinking of either Symbaroum, but that might be a little too lethal. Solar System I have never played it, and I thought that this might be a chance to try it out.

If you can find the right people for it, certainly.
Might not work toó well as a combat-heavy game though, would feel kinda wrong.
Something along the lines of

You could cap us below E10. Or, given that infernals are solaroids, just point to canon solar charms at those levels. My main concern with this is that even essence 6-7 Solar charms doesn't seem to be better than skills/classes that you can outright purchase in other jumps, and that people will look to your jump for an example of an essence cap when making a Solar/other Celestial jump.
