Oh, it's neat in concept; but it has little practical use beyond mindless one-shots. The game degrades into non-cooperativeness and silliness pretty quick. It purports to be a game wherein everyone has equal power; but without a strong unifying vision, things fall apart.
Also, there are no characters to be played - it's a game about making history, not character. So there's little personal involvement or investment. There is no investment in the game on anyone's part - it plays out very glibly, with no 'weight' or 'gravitas' to the decisions made.
It feels like a dilettante's exploration of life from the outside - rather than the feel of 'classic' rpg's which explore life from the inside. Safe, bloodless, riskless; not deep, emotional, meaty.
People like to use it to build settings, or the histories for settings. To my mind, the random tool i've attached is just as useful. Enjoy!
