What does /g/ like for live OS booted from any external media you prefer?

I've used them since 1999 (DemoLinux along with making boot CDs using DOS, Windows and BartPE) up to present (Linuxes, WinPE builds and downloads like Strelec's and Bob's OMB which are packed with tools, if cracked soft scares you they make fine examples to copy yourself). If you have a Linux install you like they're easy to image to other bootable media including external hdd.

I use mine for data rescue, autism (TAILS etc), and troubleshooting. At this point they're quite viable daily drivers but a surprising number of people aren't aware of them. Poors and Thinkpad enthusiasts should be since live diagnostic downloads from Lenovo are bootable.

If you have REALLY old hardware http://btmgr.webframe.org/ was my go to to boot from CD-ROM. I still have some virgin floppies and low time HP server floppy drives (I fix old CNC stuff sometimes) to boot then install it from the DOS command line. I Winimaged all my floppy images so I can generate fresh ones.

Since my early era is now vintage/retro perhaps this will help someone. What do 2023 Anons boot? If you're poor you can use a PC with no hard disk should yours fail.

Years ago, I came across a sentence that read "the sha256 sum of this sentence starts with a26b2fe2" (I dont remember the actual hash at the moment but it was at least 6-7 characters long)

I put it on my Slack bio back in the day when I worked at a major exchange and everyone that saw it was blown away.

Now years later I don't remember the full sentence and ever since they fucked up the search engines, I am also unable to find it.

Does anyone remember this? Or at least keywords to research the topic, it is like finding sha256 preimage containing the hash prefix.

Pretty crazy that it has been impossible to search.
