/ptg/ - Private Trackers General

No.93588343 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
>Not sure what private trackers are all about?
The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the lowest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical incompetence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.

>If starting out you should interview for RED, rank to elite, wait on account age and get invites from there. That's it, that's all you have to do.
>If you want to rank up on RED, spam recent deezer shit with deemix/smloadr. To cheat the interview, download the interview prep site or take screenshots.

Alternative streaming platform - Is it a good idea?

No.93564254 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
My wife and daughter want to start streaming together.
I'm thinking about building an independent platform for them and hosting the streams ourselves.
Along with that, I'm thinking we could get interested parties on board to use our platform in exchange for them helping out with the operating expenses.
We want a better experience than what the big tech platforms offer, with high bitrate video/audio and freedom-respecting terms of use. All the code will be released under the AGPL V3.
Is it a good idea? Could an alternative platform like this take off?
