How do iToddlers browsing /g/ cope with the fact that this board is pinned with a mascot used to ridicule Apple products as a constant reminder?

>post a month ago when Gentoo removed opentmpfiles and forced everyone to use systemd-tmpfiles on OpenRC profile
>"take your meds"
>"it was a dead project"
>look at github
>maintainer denied PRs for months that included bug fixes
>maintainer sat on CVE for over a year and refused all help
>maintainer just happens to be on Gentoo council and member of the so-called cabal
>run emerge sync yesterday
>news item titled "eudev retirement"
>everyone is now forced to use systemd-udev
>maintainer of eudev is on the Gentoo council
>maintainer says project is dead despite the last update only being a few months old
>maintainer denying all PRs and sitting on bugs
>same song and dance as the last three times they removed non-systemd options
>udev was originally a project that had nothing to do with systemd anyway and was gobbled up like so many others

Sick of the lies like
>there is no on-going effort to force a systemd default in Gentoo
>systemd is "modular"

Why hasn't this workflow ever been copied by any other OS? (besides unix OSes with certain window managers). It's comfy, it looks cool, and it's efficient. Even Steve Jobs abandoned this concept with later versions of Open Step! The only people keeping it alive are window maker users on linux and BSD.

So I'm developing trollware and I already have these features:
>play random meme sound that can't be muted
> randomly place the fork bomb
>delete random file
>set obscure wallpaper
>change system language
>randomly shutdown
what else should I add?

Why haven't you taken the toughbook pill?

No.85103265 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Panasonic toughbooks are:

>extremely repairable
>extremely upgradable
>available with great keyboards
>the MOST durable laptops available
>actually cheap and abundant

Basically, they're everything the thinkpad meme sells itself as. They're better than all business machines because they're built for industry, NOT business - and they're built to last. They have legacy hardware support and intergenerational standards (many generations share the same dock, for example). The only downsides I can think of is the heft (all the better to gatekeep manlets and wristlets) and the lack of a track point.
