This system eliminates the possibility of MITM attacks, because you didn't exchange keys over the network.

Some information is inherently, or only digital. Imagine you have several gigabytes of footage from a warzone. Yes, theoretically that could be a physical tape, but probably it is a digital video shot from somebody's phone or possibly footage shot from a weapons system itself (like that helicopter that killed all those Reuters employees). So the information is digital.

Using Pi instead of generating new random data each time keeps you from having to transmit the OTP key, which is nice because OTP keys are the same length as the data being enciphered.

So I had left a friend’s house where I was on his WiFi. Had my cellular turned off completely and WiFi only. I eventually left his house forgetting I had cellular off still. As I was heading down the road I called my niece to catch up with her on some family issues. We talked for a good 30 mins heading down the interstate where there is no WiFi. My phone basically connected with NO WiFi and NO cellular on. I’m baffled at HOW. It wasn’t until some iMessages I sent were coming back as not being able to send and all my messages were trying to be sent in green bubbles (sms). How did my phone connect to make calls? Does it have some thing to do with WiFi-calling enabled?
