I feel that "privacy" is a blanket statement to anything unorthodox.

I don't use google drive, I have a private owncloud. When I said I pay 1$ for 20GB of storage, everyone asks me if I lost my mind. When I tell them I want to use a PC as a server, they ask me why I'm making stuff more expensive and difficult.

I like doing stuff this way and I feel more in control. I also have more options when I use the VPS through my phone and I can have command line "apps" I can trigger. My home connection is shit, so a 100Mbps uplink is great.

I can call it privacy, most would. I call it having my own shit. When google fails, they lose millions and they're a huge target. When I lose my shit, it's on me and I'm just a pretty hidden domain name.

I used to host a vanilla one on lordkek.us however I (((shut it down))). I run a MineClone2 server (which is a modpack to make it on par with minecraft 1.11), mods will auto download when you join, because that's how minetest works so no work will have to be done on your end to set things up. The server address is: gaymes.inmyan.us
