press F4 and a dolphin splits with a terminal as lower panel.
if CDPATH is defined, you can cd anywhere in $CDPATH directly, and the upper panel (gui file manager) obediently follows. Click a folder in the file manager and the lower panel (term) obediently switches $PWD.

I broke my debian install trying to move over to openrc, but obviously I made a mistake. What's the point with half of these million flavors?
