>A "Hot Tip" to Restore the Minimalist Web!

>This is just a little tool I use to find and browse unbloated and often personal webpages that don't get the attention of big search engines that want baseddevvery. It's https://wiby.me, a search engine where anyone can submit a webpage, but the only requirement is that it only indexes minimalist and old-school websites! Check it out.

>You can also activate it through SearX, which I've done videos on as well.

Extra> resource: use webrings, they still exist and the only websites that use them are old-internet-ish minimalist gems.

O>k, I may be a bad internet minimalist here, I love light and simple sites, but they don't really need to be that ugly! >>XD Come on, people, you can make your site readable with just a few lines of CSS!

/hsg/ - Home Server & Data Hoarding

Discuss data hoarding and other home server projects

>Previous threads:

>READ THE WIKI!
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/wiki/Home_server

>HELP BY CONTRIBUTING!
Pages that need more work:
- Setting up your Storage
- Choosing an Operating System
- Single board computers

>NAS Case Guide. Feel free to add to it:
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/wiki/Home_server/Case_guide

>IF YOU WANT PURCHASING ADVICE:
READ THE FAQS!
State your BUDGET.
List OS and software.
State storage/raid and # of disks.
List hardware features (low power draw, 10G Ethernet, etc)

>Why should I have a homeserver?
/hsg/ is about learning and expanding your horizons. De-botnet your life. Learn something new. Serving applications to yourself, your family, and your frens feels good. Put your /g/ skills to good use for yourself and those close to you. Store their data with proper availability redundancy and backups and serve it back to them with a /comfy/ easy to use interface.

>How should I get started?
Most people get started with NAS. It’s nice have a /comfy/ home for all your data. Streaming your movies/shows around the house and to friends. Know all about NAS? Learn virtualization. Spun up some VMs? Learn networking by setting up a pfsense box and configuring some vlans. There's always more to learn and chances to grow. Think you’re god tier already? Setup openstack and report back.

>What do I hoard?
Movies, music, books, porn, anything and everything you like. If you are looking for things to hoard check out >>>/g/ptg they have a list of various trackers for everything under the sun.

>Why Hoard?
Things that are online today might not be online forever. It's good to have a copy of something because you never know when it might get taken down due to copyright strikes or Big Tech censorship.

Unprotected IP cams

No.80631892 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
These are by far one of the most bizarre things I've seen online.

I just found the cam of a Czech guy who's jerking off to porn, smoking, drinking, watching shows and doing shit with his 3d printer.

Hi /g/. My friend wants me to build him a 'gaming' computer, but only gave me a $100 budget to do it. I know it'll be terrible, but what do you suggest?
