If Linux is so good, why does it only have 1% desktop users?

People says it's the best but on the desktop, it's a total mess. Sure it's good on the server but that's all it's good for.

Before you ask me if I used Linux, yes I did use it for a long time. I used Debian, Ubuntu, Slackware, Arch, and a Gentoo stage 3 install. I wasn't impressed at all. Debian and Slackware was stable but each had major problem (Debian Stable having outdated shit while Slackware having dependency hell.)

So why should I use Linux over macOS or even windows?
