So recently, my girlfriend's dad took away all her technology, cellphone, social media, etc. Now that's a low blow and we need to stand up, I need you guys to help me grab the dad's attention. This would be amazing and funny AF if we can pull this off!

My grandfather worked at IBM from the 60s-80s, and he left me his hand built prototype 5150 when he died, because he knew I loved computers.

Before I went away for college, I packed it gently and put it in my closet, writing on all sides "Very valuable, do not touch."

I came home a few days ago, the house was cleaner than normal,

"Oh yes Anon, we're showing it so we cleaned up a bit."

Go up to my room, the box is gone; look up in the attic, there's almost nothing.

"Where did you put that box in my closet?"

"Oh Anon, we decided to give it to the homeless shelter, it was just an old computer so I figured you didn't need it."

"Go get it back!"

"Oh honey, this was a few weeks ago, we can't take it back."

She actually laughed about it, thinking it was weird I was so worked up about "an old piece of junk."

My heart is beating out of my chest just typing that out. I'm scared /g/, I know the sentimental value, but was what I lost irreplaceable?
