imagine you heels are at the top of the peddles, and your feet are at the bottom with your toes on the pad(reaching off the peddles.)

your feet are strapped in like sandals. obviously to run you lower each heel sequentially in a repeating manner. turning can be done with looking in a direction, OR! by turning you feet 45 degrees laterally. just like you were running diagonally in reference to a fixed spot. running backwards works just like in real life... BACKWARD! so to go backward you would depress both peddles, and repeatedly sequentially lift one foot, and replace
it.IE one foot down at all times. jump by pressing both peddles down at the same time while running or press them both down and let off while standing still.
