why are iso files so much larger than the files on the c.d. itself?
is there any way to stop it? or make the iso's smaller? the c.d. is 56.2 MB, the copy pasted files folder s 55.5 MB, but the iso created with imgburn is 256 MB? having an iso take up 256 MB or 1/4 GB of precious hard drive space for a mere 57 MB is a tremendous waste.
i asked anon before if copy pasting files from a c.d. was a good way to back them up and they're like make an iso instead so i do but then they're so large then it's difficult to justify them even being worth it.
so i'm torn apart between whether or not i should copy paste the files to make a backup or make these huge-ass iso's that eat up so much hard drive space. should i copy paste the files or make iso files?
please respond
thank you
