As an aspiring 2nd year CS student whose laptop just broke, and is also very poor... what laptop should one get that would last me the remainder of my Uni career. Well /g/?

Been working with a guy for the past 2 years on private mmorpg servers (he does the coding, I do management and design etc.). I know Photoshop, a bit of php, css / html, seo and atm learning bootstrap. Shit's about to hit the fan, income gets lower month by month and he doesn't show any interest of working anymore.


I'm planning to :

a. Learn bootstrap and a php framework just in case.
b. App development (I have a few ideas), but, I have no experience.
c. Reselling host, this is is an old idea, I haven't done my research yet.
d. Stock or Coins, I have ~ 20 k $ saved (but that's for my apartment don't really want to touch em).

I'm about to change my HDD for the 1st time.

I've always been poorfag so by the time I could afford an HDD I think I might as well buy a new one, so I do.

But I finally saved up enough money and now I'm going to switch my laptop's HDD with an SSD.

My plan is to go into this blind and just backup the HDD data, put in the SSD, use the windows 7 installation discs you can download, and transfer the OS to there.

I'm still gonna be able to see replies on my 2nd p.c. so any comments or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
