Mech Keyboards

Alright /g/ keyboard woes.

I currently have the Rzr Blackwidow (standard edition) but would like something backlit (and without melted plastic hence why I am buying a new one).

I looked into the CM Trigger and really liked it, but couldn't find a purchasable blue switch (it's what I know I like as the 'widow uses them).

Does anyone have any mainly black, backlit mechanical keyboards?

Love you /g/uys

/g/ What are your thoughts on the Sidewinder x4? I'm seriously consulting it, 26 key anti-ghosting sounds nice.
I guess if you want to recommend something else It only seems fair to recommend what you're currently using and why it's better.

Hey /g/,

I've had a Macbook Pro throughout my past four years at undergrad and want to get a new laptop before i go back to school for an MSEE. My first thought is to get an MBAir or rMBP but I worry they may be underpowered or too expensive to be worth it. I like Apple because of their hardware and because OS X is very clean and UNIX-like. I am very used to Windows as well and I do not like it as much, but I know I will need it for some EE programs anyway. Overall, I want good battery life, a nice screen, and a small frame. A relatively powerful processor (at least i5) and a discrete GPU would be nice as well (another reason not to get an Apple).

TL;DR convince me I should get a Thinkpad, Zenbook, or something else similar instead of another Apple

Don't let me down /g/

I've started to enjoy linux on my Laptop (currently using xubuntu) but I still have one issue, for college I need to be able to view, edit and submit in a format that works 100% for Microsoft Office.

From your experience which software has the best compatibility with Microsoft Office formats out of Libre Office, Google Docs and Open office etc?
