I just purchased a new graphics card earlier today. Installed the drivers and this is the result i'm having. The left screen is working fine but on the right screen it's having a weird color where it just doesn't show anything. or something like that.
I've been out of the game for a while, quick question -- can trojans install themselves on a secondary HDD and infect any system that HDD is plugged into? Or does it always require a executable/autorun?
I have gotten an eeepc 1000 hab from a co-worker who was going to throw it away. I'm currently trying to install linux on it. I tried to go into bios to boot from a storage device but I froze on the grey screen (pic related). I can't seem to get past this. No keys work, caps lock does not light up when pressed. I have tried to letting it sit without battery and resetting cmos by pulling the battery, waiting for 5 seconds and plugging it back in. Anyone figure out how to deal with this?
Basically i am trying to get into programming and my current goal is to make a program that you could upload a text document to and have it analyze all the words and replace them with common synonyms.

My grandmother wants to get rid of her old Bang & Olufsen turntable/tape player/radio thingy, Should I take it off her hands?
It needs a new needle, which I'm told can cost a ton of money, and she already threw out the speakers (when asked why she said "because they were so bulky and old, not small and good like modern things" so I'm wondering if getting it in working order is more trouble than it's worth.
Pic related, it's an old ad for the device in question, wasn't $2000 fucking crazy in the late 70's/early 80's when she got it?
