Hey /g/,
I've had a Macbook Pro throughout my past four years at undergrad and want to get a new laptop before i go back to school for an MSEE. My first thought is to get an MBAir or rMBP but I worry they may be underpowered or too expensive to be worth it. I like Apple because of their hardware and because OS X is very clean and UNIX-like. I am very used to Windows as well and I do not like it as much, but I know I will need it for some EE programs anyway. Overall, I want good battery life, a nice screen, and a small frame. A relatively powerful processor (at least i5) and a discrete GPU would be nice as well (another reason not to get an Apple).
TL;DR convince me I should get a Thinkpad, Zenbook, or something else similar instead of another Apple
Don't let me down /g/
