I may not have been extremely clear, you are of course lacking context.
I am not saying "use Arch instead!"
Well I am, but only if you don't care about Gentoo's current failing management. If you're going to use binaries, systemd, GNOME or KDE, Gentoo is utterly redundant. The only real difference between it and Arch then is Pacman is a much faster package manager.
Nothing I am currently doing in my Arch setup is any different than how Gentoo is trying to do things. It has turned itself into an irrelevant distro carried solely by its honestly undeserving reputation.
To those that care and realize Gentoo development isn't going in the right direction, I ask you to then realize Funtoo is literally everything we could ask for, founded and maintained by the same man who founded Gentoo and thought up Portage, and not much later after Gentoo's creation. Drobbins obviously saw something in the Gentoo Project well before any of this came to be and quit it almost immediately while still pursuing the same idea.
Funtoo is more advanced when it comes to the compiling part of Portage, and has no intention whatsoever of supporting systemd.

dnf upgrade --secseverity={Critical,Important} cuts down the updates for fedora a lot. Add --bugfix if you want a few more updates but still not the full set.

I rebased my system on kinoite 40 to try plasma 6. The new wallpaper was ugly, the new overview lags like crazy, a lot of settings are broken. Krunner is a bit faster but that's about it.
Suffice to say, I was quick to reboot on the previous image. That's a great perk of an immutable distro, painless updates and rollbacks. I might honestly skip this one and stay on 39. Plasma 5.27 is in a very good state.

however, there are a limit to number of locals in any function: 200.
(due to the way the register-based VM is designed)
