I've been getting lonelier lately, and I remembered how much fun i had as a kid posting here on 4chan (yes, as a kid, I started using it when i was 13, now I'm 19)
nowadays however, no fun at all, everyone takes things too seriously and would rather talk about things that make them mad instead of things that make them happy, you know what I'm saying?
anyways, I want to know, that right now, in 2024, are there any GOOD altchans? years years years ago I tried stuff like meguca, heyuri, sushi, that yuyushiki one, whatever, they all sucked for differing regions, but posting on the kemono party one to complain about the website being down reminded me of how comfy imageboards can be.
what im asking, again, is, are there any fun ones? not based around dumb shit like wizardchan, but also not honeypots like heyuri, im not using ironypoisoned ones like the sharty or that /bant/ one either
I noticed one of my posts changed an "o" to the symbol "ืก" after I submitted it.
So I looked on the archives and found multiple posts (like pic related) where the same shit happened to other anons. Hilarity ensues when this happens on /pol/ but it seemingly keeps popping up all over the site, and it goes back to years and years ago. It's even stranger when you look for such words (like "ืกlder") on google. What's causing this?

So I have an iphone 11, that I supposedly upgraded my storage (I bought extra storage) and it still says its full. and when I delete photos or store move them into amazon photos or drop box etc. it doesn't automatically delete the photos, and the storage doesn't go down from the phone when I check the phone storage in settings. It says 80% of my storage is photos. on the phone and I need to delete the storage but I don't want to lose the photos. I have my photos in google photos app, Drop box, (some of them) , and amazon photos. What can I do?
if I'm about to start writing a new window manager in the year of our lord 2024, and I use proprietary Nvidia drivers, should I create an X11 wm or a Wayland compositor? this question is based purely in a compatibility and future proofing sense, not which is more time efficient or easier. Wayland supposedly works but I'm worried about putting all this work in just for it to be too unstable to use. and don't just try to sell me on whatever server you use, fucking shills many thanks
