I hear people complaining about soldered SSD and RAM because they want to be able to upgrade it. I don't think this an honest or well thought out complaint because you can simply buy a model which has the amount of SSD and RAM you would need in the future.
The real problem here is cost and high cost is a completely valid complaint, but make that complaint instead of being dishonest and saying I want to upgrade SSD and RAM down the line. No you don't. You don't intrinsically enjoy the process of buying compatible RAM/SSD and opening your laptop and replacing the SSD and RAM. You want to save money which is fine. Just be honest about it.
A follow on argument is that soldered SSD and RAM generates e-waste because devices cannot be upgraded to delay obsolescence. Just because a device becomes obsolete for your needs, doesn't mean someone else might find it useful. You can sell it and buy a new one. Upgrading RAM and SSD probably results in more e-waste. You end up having RAM and SSD which is pretty hard to sell and reuse compared to full machine. I think the best thing we can do reduce e-waste is buy quality devices with sane configs that will have good longevity or buy second-hand.
A common complaint about soldered SSD's is that you cant recover your data if your computer dies. If you have valuable data, you should have backups elsewhere. Relying on your computer whether the SSD is soldered or not is completely retarded. Replaceable SSD's wont save your data if your laptop gets lost/stolen, stuck in house fire or the SSD itself gets fried. This is a non issue for anyone who actually understand how to deal with valuable data.

How did Microsoft make it to $3T? All of their products are garbage. Windows 11 is terrible. Windows in general is losing marketshare to Linux now. Xbox is literally a dead end and never has brought in profit. What the fuck are they doing to generate money? Is this what government money laundering looks like?
