I just bought a legit copy of Typora for Linux. What other Linux native software have you bothered paying for? I also bought Vuescan and a bunch of Steam games. If I can get paid software to work better and faster than free software, then I will buy the paid software. I was thinking about using GitHub's own markdown editor, but I installed it and it didn't work. It had some kind of dependency hell bullshit going on so I just bought software that actually works since I'm not a NEET whose time has no value. If you make more than minimum wage, an hour of dependency hell is probably more expensive than just buying the fucking software.

I bought a copy of Zorin just for fun. Most of the linux app stores are terrible to use, and I don't even know where to look to find software for linux that costs money outside of steam. They should do a paid apps only store for linux.

This is what a fresh Arch installation looks like. I swear I could run a Linux shell with far fewer processes some years ago. What the fuck happened?

>>99647962 I've never tried, but couldn't you just write a service for sysklogd and use it instead of journald?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>99648105 i haven't looked into it personally, but i've seen people say that you can effectively disable journald and use something else, but not remove it entirely
but i/they could be wrong, it does seem a bit odd to me that you wouldn't be able to disable it

The only solution to this is a new Linux distro for users that actually give a fuck about vast and unchecked resource waste.

>>99615316 so essentially what you're saying is obesity is a disease. Well yeah some people are born obese, but some people turn obese because they don't exercise and eat unhealthy, is it a disease? no because you don't catch obesity, it's the actions you've made to turn obese. People born obese didn't choose it, like people didn't choose cancer and become bald, therefore it's a disease
