A gather of dra/g/on maids

!!JQHA6kqyl91 No.89713135 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Good Morning Dra/g/on Maids!

I made a post on /sci/ to ask about sockets based communications technology and they told me to ask dra/g/ons so I came here.
>>>/sci/14975703

I need answers to the questions in the thread.

>Drawing Computer
Also I guess while I'm here please somebody tell me a Stable Diffusion Drawing Computer. I don't know how to build a desktop because I only used UMPC and SBC before and you don't have to figure out parts for those. I have only every cared about software without much thought to hardware. Is there some pre-configured computer I can just buy?

>What else?
I want to see rare LISP horses or images of maids riding the LISP horse.

Thank you Dra/g/ons for reading my post.

>First off, I am a GNOME developer speaking anonymously. I will not prove this. I will not give you a hint. But this is why we don't give a shit.
>
>SECOND OFF Listen, you dont need grid thumbnails, you need to stop being a retard. The vast majority of users would like thumbnails, but they do not need them, and they do not need the release delays and bugs from trying to redo the file picker like this creating entirely new widgets and everything. What you get is the name, the mtime, the size, and type, all of which you can sort by, and SMALL thumbnails that are perfectly usable for most people looking through a photo collection. Update your screenshot faggot, we have thumbnails in list view. SO HOW DO I TELL WHICH PICTURE IS WHICH, MAYHAPS? You organize your photos. You give them names. You give the folders names. And now you can find pretty much any file way faster than you would scrolling through a grid of 10000 thumbnails named things like 123843042341-0.jpg in ~/Shitposts. Most of the time I know where something is based on the modification time and size alone. For large collections like personal photographs they are all in folders and the filenames are timestamps. And, I, AND MOST PEOPLE, do not go through looking for just one in a file picker, because I, AND MOST PEOPLE, upload whole batches to social media at once instead of picking them one at a time for FUCKING 4CHAN.
>
>In other words, this does not affect most users, it affects FOUR-CHAN USERS not GNOME USERS so it is not a GNOME PRIORITY. 99% of people do not notice or care. If you think it is that great patch it yourself but the only people clamoring for this are on reddit (4chan users off the clock) and 4chan (reddit users waiting out bans).

Security is a lie!

No.94704302 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
White Hat developers do not protect the end user, and neither do they fight for them. Every security update in Windows is built to give to Microsoft control over your computer. Secure Boot will in fact stop attackers from booting into unsigned kernel or operating system, but what if you're the attacker? What if you want to boot into an unsigned kernel or operating system, such as a Unix one for example? You can't! Not without compromising Secure Boot at least, and that's just one example! The whole concept of "protecting" the end user is mysterious to begin with, and sinister once you realize what they're "protecting" you from... So what are they "protecting" you from, and why do they assume you want their protection in the first place? They've got the same mentality as law enforcement... Thanks but no thanks! I for one don't want your protection if it means giving up my autonomy. My data is not for sale, and neither is my soul! I never asked for citizenship, and I never asked for your protection! Unix has GPG verification for kernel integrity which I have total control over as an end user, so why the fuck would I want to use Secure Boot? Get the fuck out of here! Not to mention anti-cheat software developers who think they're fighting for the end user by spying on them... Unbelievable! I don't know how you guys got it in your fucking head that you what you were doing was for the good of any of us. You're fucking bonkers... Wake up! My game, my rules! My PC, my rules! Fuck off. This is why community dedicated servers, and LAN multiplayer is being discontinued in games as well... All to prevent us from having control over our own personal property. My copy of your game is my copy... I paid for it! It's mine! I don't give a fuck about your fucking contract! I'm a natural person, not a legal fucking entity... I'm a John Doe, so any contract I agree to means nothing. My natural self hasn't agreed to anything.
