My daughter asked for a MacBook for her birthday, but after some discussion she said if I truly believe there's a better option, she'll be okay with it in place of the Mac, as she trusts my judgement.
I'm thinking a ThinkPad instead. What would /g/ do? I've never used Macshit in my life and just don't have great feelings about the company or its products. Price is not an issue.
