Same with Shinn. I'd say it was a lot later than episode 7 or 8 where things really get problematic as hell with him.

Honestly, you can date all this back to how Tomino wasn't even willing to make a Gundam sequel at first and later changed his mind over Char showing up in ZZ, etc.

When you break down the fundamentals of the show and point out its holes that presented in a straight face its not nitpicking. It seems you're asking us to play dumb and ignore them because that's the only way the show can be enjoyed.

Wanting a show to be good is not the same as wanting it to be something else, Turn A and G are good mainly because they do their own thing without needing to be compared to previous entries in the franchise, SEED had the potential to be good in itself but it dashed it all away NOBODY should be able to dumb themselves down in order to enjoy something they should be able to find what they like about the show itself and not succumb to "I watch this ironically" mentality especially since SEED is played absolutely straight as a character drama its just badly done.

/m/ has posted detailed arguments into what is wrong with SEED and CE in general none of which has anything to do with not being like previous Gundam installments.
